What's been happening in my world?

What a fantastic couple of weeks it's been! 

🤧I've had a little bit of a cold but nothing major so I gave myself a day off. Now I'm back at it.  

📝I've shared a little bit of Sedrick's Adventures in Hopeland with a few more people and, I'm getting some amazing feedback.  I'll share another snippet with you next time.

🗣The spoken word evening at The Art Yard was fabulous.  I was the only person out of around 15, who wasn't reading poetry.  There's nothing quite like standing out like a sore thumb, is there? 🤔🤣👍 

I thoroughly enjoyed the evening.  There were some very inspirational people reading their work and it was nice to catch up with old friends and make new ones. 

🎤I'm still having my singing lessons and loving them.

I'm now waiting for the retail links which I should have in the next couple of days.

2. My Writing  

I've done quite a lot of work on my children's stories this fortnight.  I have now completed the first draft of  Charlie's story!  (The dog from Katie, A New Chapter and Tom, The Next Chapter.)  I am still editing Sedrick's 2nd and 3rd books and I have a couple of adult books I'm dipping in and out of. 

3. My Speaking

scripthavenltd are holding their regular evening of sweets and cocktails and I'm gatecrashing to talk about my books. Thank you, Leena Batchelor .

Cocktails and sweets curated by Script Haven bookshop and Mr D's Olde Sweet Shop. A delicious opportunity to have a social evening, surrounded by curated arts and books (they're often joined by authors too!).

The ticket includes a bag of sweets and one signature cocktail.

Friday 21st June, 7 pm. 💕
