Balanced Overthinking: A Practical Approach to Mental Struggle

You want your life to be a Balanced life.

Your life should be SUPER RELAXED even if you are not feeling like it .

I like to break all the normal rules of living a happy life.

Overthinking, the slow killer of your happiness, isn't just a fleeting moment of doubt or worry it's a constant replay of 'what if' and 'should have' things, regrets that can rob your peace of mind.

Welcome to today’s newsletter where we dive deep into the practical strategies to deal with overthinking and live a balanced life.

Let's understand the root causes of overthinking and strategies to take control of your thoughts and emotions.

Five Major Symptoms of Overthinking:

1. Obsessive worry that consumes your thoughts.

2. Inability to stay grounded in the present moment.

3. Constantly seeking reassurance from others.

4. Paralysis when faced with decisions, big or small.

5. Feeling mentally drained and exhausted

Five Major Causes of Overthinking:

1. Stress and anxiety, feed into a vicious cycle of worry.

2. Low self-esteem and persistent self-doubt.

3. Fear of the unknown and uncertainty about the future.

4. Overgeneralizing past negative experiences to future events.

5. Perfectionism, setting unrealistic standards for yourself.

Fear Not!

I've got a straightforward yet effective approach to taking back control of your thoughts:

Plan Your Overthinking Time

Step 1: Set aside just 20 minutes every day for "thinking time."

Step 2: Write down your worries during this time.

Step 3: Once your time's up, focus on what you can do about those worries.

Step 4: Take action on those steps to clear your mind and find peace.

Conclusion: Remember, overthinking isn't something you're born with—it's something you pick up along the way. But just like any habit, it can be changed with time and effort.

With a little understanding and effort, you can rewrite this pattern and find more joy in your life.
