What's been happening at Bigger Brighter Bolder?

We’ve had an awesome start to the year.  

💪🏼 We hosted our big Kick Off Event for all of our members. 

🎯 Ran three board meetings between both Build and Scale to help our members set their 2024 goals. 

🚀 We kicked off another phenomenal Launch Programme - helping to launch small service-based businesses, and helping current business owners to revisit their businesses’ foundations - which received epic feedback! 

🤩 We had an absolutely buzzing team meeting at the end of last year, packed full of project ideas for 2024! Keep your eyes peeled for some fabulous upcoming projects to help you grow your business. 

🥺 We said a sad goodbye to our fabulous Georgia who is off on a new adventure. 

📸 We ran a fantastic Q&A session with our fabulous member, Bori Bojthe, on empowering photography for your business and making sure that your photos represent your brand. 

👀 We began working on some brilliant free resources – keep your eyes peeled for those! 

🎄We partied hard at the BBB Christmas Party! It seems so long ago now...  

🧘🏼 I went on a Spiritual retreat. I met some gorgeous people and immersed myself in nature. 


Is finding clients that bit tougher right now?  🧐   

It can be tempting to discount your prices to get the sale, get the deal, or get the contract signed. But you need to stand strong on your pricing.  

You set your prices where they are because you’re good at what you do.  

Your experience and skills are worth every penny. You need clients who recognise and value you.  

Staying confident in the quality that you deliver will allow you to stand firm in your pricing. While discounts might attract short-term attention, those aren’t the clients that you want long term.  

Stand your ground and don’t undervalue your services.  

Find the clients who value you enough to pay for the exceptional services you provide, and your business will thrive.

Overwhelmed by decisions?  

It might be what to do next in your business or how to find that next client. Or you might be second-guessing your entire approach.  

If you’re anything like me, trying to think of every possible outcome is a one-way ticket to procrastination.  

If you're in that situation, take a big step back and look at two key things.  

·       Firstly, what are you trying to create in your business?  

·       Secondly, what do you want to do on a daily basis?  

My top tip here is to take some time to think about this. Maybe even put it onto a vision board or write it somewhere that you can see it every day. Then use this as an anchor point.  

Every time you have a decision to make, check it against those two key things and make sure it’s taking you closer to your goals. This will make the decision-making process much easier.

Team Tip: Having a happy remote team    

Many business owners I speak to are having challenges with their teams. Having a happy team was so important to me and George Swift when we started building ours. 

Having happy team members is not only important for your team but also for your business. A happier team are an average of 28% more productive, have fewer sick days and improve your staff turnover rate. 

It's often said that if you treat your people well, they’ll be worth their weight in gold. Investment in your team’s happiness is an investment in the success and sustainability of your business. 

In our experience, having a positive and productive remote team goes beyond the usual work-related tasks. Here are some things that we do to encourage a happy remote team. 

•  Encourage open and clear communication with the team. 

•  Find a good app for group chats, such as Zoom or Teams, which you can use for team meetings and huddles. Having these meetings is good for business but also great for keeping in touch and having some fun. 

•  Use software like SharePoint, Trello or Monday.com to keep track of team projects and tasks. 

•  Use Loom or similar to record instructions and processes that can be easily accessed and shared, allowing the team to access training quickly. 

•  Remember important dates and celebrate or acknowledge them as a team. 

•  Thank your team often and celebrate every achievement, no matter how small. 

•  Be flexible, allowing the team some give and take for things like appointments, childcare, or extra-curricular activities. 

•  Encourage breaks. Overall, breaks make time… 

•  Track your team happiness. We use Friday Pulse for this. Friday Pulse measures and improves team happiness and culture, providing real-time, actionable data for maximum impact. 

•  Team Building activities. We’ve had some amazing experiences, including dinners, lunches, bowling, mini-golf, and even axe throwing! 

A happy team is not only a reflection of your leadership but also a vital contributor towards helping you achieve your business goals.
