Being an Entrepreneur is a Niche in Itself
“Being an entrepreneur is a niche in itself” - this is my personal opinion.
Here is why and this is what is happening in almost all parts of the world:
- Schools, colleges, universities and other educational institutions are more towards manufacturing scripted mind software that is being installed in human brain right from the time when the baby is born. This conditions human brains not to take risks as it is considered to be an unwise decision and so in order to safeguard the future one needs to follow the norms set by the family and society. This is what MJ DeMarco in his book “Unscripted” referred.
- Since we are bogged down by the vision of the past and future we have forgotten to live in the present. This fact is best described in the book “The Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle.
- Due to the above stated conditioning the world consumer market is huge with as minimum as 8% producers or providers. The world population is currently at 7.6 billion whose demands are being fulfilled by 582 million entrepreneurs which is roughly 8% of the population and further the fulfillment share is extremely polarized and uneven due to the presence of large corporations around the world.
- Out of this 8% some 22.5% of small businesses fail within the first year and the top reasons why businesses fail is due to the fact that they neglected working on their ideal customer profile which ended up in no market need.
The above statistics indicates the potential of being an entrepreneur. Only few who struggle to get unscripted themselves become successful entrepreneurs. 60% of the entrepreneurs who start small businesses are between the ages of 40 and 60. Studies show that these are middle-aged men who are able to run most successful businesses.
Being an entrepreneur is tough and bears a lot of hardship as the actual meaningful things are being created through struggle. The world market is quite promising and the results are astonishing, the only approach of reaching the finish line is by crafting a better strategy. For this one needs to understand that:
