On Being A REFUGEE

What must be like

Living a life 

Of a refugee

Without a country

Shunted from place 

To another undervalued

Treated like rags 

Without respect

Understanding 

Or dignity

Walking miles in

The hot sun

Sweat pouring

Down their backs

Along with women

And children

With just clothes

On their backs

Desperately looking

For a safe haven 

To stay 

Nobody wanting them

Alas! I can hear them say:

"Please Make the World

Go Away!

They are humans too

Wanting piece

Of the pie

Countries don't 

Want them 

They don't understand why

They want freedom of

Life liberty justice 

Like everyone else

Apparently it doesn't

Work that way

So, they beg 

And plead

"Make The World 

Go Away"!

What would happen

If the roles got reversed

Imagine you being

A refugee

Would you still be

Sitting on a high horse

Practicing RDB

I would definitely

Love to see!!!!
