Best People Suffer Most From Leadership problems.
Within a week of me starting in one of my jobs, I received resignation from an employee.
He said he does not like what he does any more.
When he described what he does it turned out to be all routine tasks that he was not even supposed to do. It just that nobody else was doing them.
I saw that movie so many times before that I lost count.
It was a classical leadership problem, one exhibited by his ex boss.
It is so common that the best people are the ones who suffer the most from lack of leadership. They step in and solve issues that their boss is not solving. They plug the holes in the process and communication.
But when they reach the point of no return, it is often impossible to fix.
"When a flower does not bloom, fix the environment, not the flower."

6yIt's like teaching. When a student gets bored and possibly poor grades, they blame the student. Why not change and give him a new teacher who can challenge his thinking & inspire him? Then see how he blooms and thrive. #mentoring Motivation comes from inside us. A good teacher can help us to find that burning bush!

7yOleg, love your posts. This one nails it. I've seen and heard of great companies, with great people, hire poor leaders and observing the impact has been fascinating. Never under estimate the power of great leadership and never underestimate the devastating impact a terrible leader can have on a company and it's people.
