Big Idea. vs. Big Talk.

Share your BIG IDEA & TAKE ACTION. I share how we do it. In this eighth issue I dissect and expand upon an article I wrote many years ago for a profile newspaper entitled - 'From Big Idea to Big Profits in Business'. This follows our seventh issue where we began exploring effective tips. techniques & tweaks for converting ideas into exciting and profitable revenue streams.

Before we get onto dissecting the article mentioned above, perhaps it's time to give a quick practical demo of how we at WISDOMS™ take the ideas already discussed in our past issues and put them into action.

You see, for me, far too many big ideas sadly disappear into the ether because they end up being nothing more than all talk and no action. I watch, and have experienced, multitudes of networks where most folk just seem to want to talk ('network' they say) over coffee, or online, without having a definite purpose for why they are taking up the valuable time of each participant at the meet. If truth be told, most just want to sell themselves and/or their widgets/services.

The real truth is that to move from Big Ideas to Big Profits requires BIG ACTION with Big Sharing of Big Resources for astute leveraging between Big Idea Collaborators for mutual benefit. Ideally, each party should be able to visualize the opportunity in utilizing their skill / resource / experience / brand / channels / reach to unlock exponential sales / market / revenue potential in collaboration with the other. The secret is to openly share who you are, what you want to achieve, and who you want to collaborate with.

This is how we shared our collaboration objectives July 6, 2021 - the long version - Are You Great At What You Do Online? Let's Collaborate for Mutual-Benefit! In short, read our three key aims below followed by three paragraphs that we supply to potential collaborators:

Our internal Big Idea: to generate $1 a month from 1,000,000 participants / subscribers.

Our WISDOMS™️ 2022 objective: 'to establish WISDOMS™️ DifferenceMakers™️ in every city on the planet'.

WISDOMS™ has always been about 'creating A World of PASSIONATE Positive DifferenceMakers'. We have tons of unique, proven, life-changing Personal Development & Business Development content (+-150 years collective experience unique to us) in our vaults. Covid saw us go global with WISDOMS Summits™️ - Global; UK; US; Africa; Nigeria; South Africa; Australia; New Zealand; et al. We banked 368 WISDOMS Chats™ over the covid lockdown period.

Our WISDOMS™️ 2022 objective is 'to establish WISDOMS™️ DifferenceMakers™️ in every city on the planet'. That takes us into the realm of technologies we don't know and skills we don't have. We are nowhere near the look & feel of where we want to go (not even .00001%) and believe there must be skilled folk who want to partner in our 2022 objective for mutual benefit at grand scale. We will throw our resources in to match yours to create new opportunities by establishing WISDOMS™️ DifferenceMakers™️ in every city. 

We then ideastorm the collaboration potential of any joint-venture initiative through the Count To Ten And Win possibility-thinking game process discussed in issue 5.

e.g. How do we reach 1,000,000 potential participants? Answer: Collaborate with 1 partner who influences a million people or more; or with 10 partners who influence 100,000 or more; or with 100 partners who influence 10,000 or more; or 1000 partners who influence 1000 or more; or any creative derivatives of the Count To Ten And Win process. The same process works for establishing WISDOMS™️ DifferenceMakers™️ in every city. All for a mutual-benefit share of the revenue at minimal cost outlay due to the bulk of the resources already being mostly in-house and already invested in by the individual partners for their own businesses.

Now to the promised article I wrote some +- 30 years ago for a profile newspaper entitled - 'From Big Idea to Big Profits in Business'. It is worth repeating here for some key pointers. Dissection links are added as updates to stimulate further reading, research, thought and/or discussion on my original points made.

Business entrepreneurs have to make their living in a rapidly changing world where competition is rampant and consumers, inundated with a myriad of choices, change their buying patterns in a flash. 

One of the positive spin-offs of such uncertainty is that there is always a new opportunity for savvy entrepreneurs to develop new ideas to meet new trends and market demands. 

Often, the biggest profits come from the simplest ideas that make it to the market and which appear so obvious to everyone ..after the event.

Being ready to snap up these opportunities requires business entrepreneurs to be mentally prepared to understand what is needed to succeed. Here are some guidelines: 

  • The business of business is profit. Don’t let anyone tell you anything different. The scorecard of a business is measured by the profit that it generates. Everything you do in your business should be intended to lead to profit.

  • Pay yourself first. You can do nothing for society by bankrupting yourself. Let creation of wealth, personal growth and development be your primary objective for you and those who are associated with your enterprise.

  • Be innovative. Make it your continual goal to think of ideas to change the world and add value to society, and then put them into action.

  • Be aware. Constantly scan international news releases, web links and industry bulletins to identify new trends and subtle twists to ‘old faithful’ income-generators.

  • Think BIG. It takes just as much time and effort to launch a small business project as it does to work on a big project.. go for the BIG idea.

  • Think SPEED. Speed to market is the battle cry of successful entrepreneurs in the 21st Century. Be prepared to move from idea to implementation in a matter of weeks.
