Breaking Barriers & Spilling Tea: July EDI Updates You Need!

Political Shake-ups

July has been a big month politically. We got the Tories out in the UK, a left coalition won over the far-right and incumbent centrist parties in France, and Joe Biden has pulled out of the US’s November election, endorsing Kamala Harris as the democrat presidential candidate. Despite far-right groups creating divisive narratives and discourse worldwide, these shake-ups are a sign of hope for many. The important thing is to keep challenging our politicians to do better for our most vulnerable people.

Adjusting Adjustments.

On our blog and monthly webinar series, we’ve explored perceptions and realities of reasonable adjustments and asked what organisations can do better. So far, we’ve covered the legal definition of reasonable adjustments per the Equality Act 2010, what the Equality Act misses the mark on, what the nine protected characteristics are, and how adjustments can enable anyone and everyone in the workplace. Stay tuned for more!
