Selecting the right strain or plant varieties will be so important to your hydroponic growing. There are many seeds shop online, so it is much easier than ever before to get what you need. Once you yield with a good plant that you love, you can keep it alive and make cutting and cloning from it.
Water is forming everything
Water transfer the nutrition to the plants. It dissolving the salts and other articles and keep a balance for the growing. Before you irrigate the tap water into your hydroponic system, it is better to make a test. Try to figure out the softness or hardness of the water and also the containing of each essentials
Plant medium is important and easy to get nowadays
Most popular mediums in hydroponic are: Coconut coir, Perlite, Rockwool and sponges.
Each of them has it’s own advantages. For beginner, I would recommend use perlite or sponges. Perlites gives a good spacing for the roots helps to get more oxygen. Sponges are easy to fix the seedling and inexpensive.
Nutrients is the meal for healthy plants
Essential elements for plants are: Oxygen, Carbon, Hydrogen, and Nitrogen.
And many other elements are required and must keep in a certain amount to keep the plant grow but not toxic them. Like Calcium, Sulfur, Iron, Magnesium Zinc etc.
You can buy pre-mixed nutrients for different stages of your plants, for even you are a very beginner you don’t need to panic.
pH level is so important that it will effect nutrients absorb by your plant. Pure water is considered at pH 7. And pH 14 is dedicating alkaline while pH 1 is acid. There are pH control kit selling helps you to easily control pH up and down.
Light brings life to all
Plants growth relies on photosynthesis with chlorophyll. Light energy is combined with CO2 and water produces oxygen and sugar. With artificial light today, growers are able to grow year round at any places on the earth.
