Client: Cygnet West

Contact Person: Jake Tana

Type: Branding Mural

Location: Perth, Australia

Artist: Michael Phillips

Project Overview:

Cygnet West, Western Australia's largest independent commercial real estate firm, commissioned a vibrant mural for Rockingham Central, aiming to reflect the local community's spirit and the area's rich biodiversity. This project was an opportunity to merge art with the natural environment, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of Rockingham Central while reinforcing the brand’s commitment to the local community.

Client Brief:

The brief from Cygnet West was to create a mural that celebrated the local flora and fauna, with a bold and bright color palette featuring yellow, orange, blue, and green. Additionally, the mural was to incorporate the Rockingham Central logo, aligning with the community's identity and the client’s brand values of independence, intelligence, and innovation.

Artistic Execution:

Michael Phillips, known for his expertise in large-scale murals and community-centred designs, was selected to lead this project. Michael embraced the vision of integrating the natural elements of Rockingham into the mural, meticulously crafting a design that balanced bold colours with intricate representations of local plant and animal life. The mural was completed with vibrant hues that not only brightened the space but also resonated with the community's identity.

Michael’s work extended beyond just painting; he engaged with the community during the consultation and design phases, ensuring the artwork truly reflected local values. His dedication didn’t stop there—Michael attended the mural celebration event, connecting with community members and sharing insights into the mural’s creation.

Client Feedback:

Jake Tana from Cygnet West praised Michael's approach and execution: "I approached Michael to create a mural for Rockingham Central, and he was exceptional throughout the entire process. From community consultation and design to production and attending our mural celebration event, Michael was a pleasure to work with. The final mural is stunning, capturing the exact vision from his digital mock-up. I highly recommend Michael for any mural project."
