No BS Career Advice: November 24, 2024
Since the election in the US, I am seeing an uptick of activity. More interviews. More hires, More meetings. More activity in general.
Don't say to yourself, "Nothing is going to go on until January." Firms are interviewing now with an eye toward a January start. Heck! I had one person brought on this month who will be converted to full-time in January.
Coasting into the new year is for losers and you're not a loser.

2moThanks for sharing your observation Jeff Altman, MSW, CCTC. I suspect there are 2 factors behind this trend: 1) The national election is behind us. Regardless of anyone's political view, businesses are now able to strategize and make their hiring decision based on their opinion of the election results. 2) Just as you identified in your prior post, firms have approved budgets to use and projects to staff up. Now, they are preparing to hit the ground running in early 2025.
