The process of creating a good cv/resume has two aspects. One is unlearning some popular and ridiculous practice that makes your cv meaningless. And the other one is understanding the needs and aligning the objective of your cv with them.
Let's get over the ridiculous practice, which is lying and exaggerating everything in your cv. It's a very common ego issue we all deal with. When it comes to showcasing ourselves, we tend to either exaggerate or understate. Positioning yourself in the middle of that is the ideal scenario. Always keep this in mind while sharing your experience, building your cv, or pitching your idea. This applies to almost every aspect of our life.

Three things are very important to achieve that result:
One is you have to be brutally honest with your capabilities but you have to present your strengths boldly. There will be points in the job description that you will lack but no one is customized according to a job. It's okay to not fit in 100% accurately. It's important that the job fits your niche of work. Highlight that in your cv and you are one step closer.
Two is, to be precise and pinpoint. Don't write a whole biography in your cv. Keep it short and crisp while showcasing the perks. Try to maintain a logical flow in it so that the person who is screening it, will easily grasp the whole trajectory of your career.
Three is the most important point to note. You have to present everything well-structured. If you want to innovate and be creative feel free to build your own cv but maintain the structure or framework that's there for a reason. You can use colors and elements which match the professional tone of your cv. Also, choose a beautiful and professional photo, These people who will be screening your cv are also fond of beauty and aesthetics. No one likes the photo of a govt. id card.
Last but not the least, keep your dates outlined in your cv. It is better to provide a timeline for connecting the experiences. Also, do spare some time to build your LinkedIn profile, it creates a good impression.
