Can reading books make a change or direct you in a better way?

I don't know if you know the person or not, but I am sure about a thing that you all heard about his book "Atomic Habits".

I am talking about James Clear the man who tried to put all his life experiences in this book. Before starting to read the book I also had a tagline created for myself that is Dream, Desire, dedicate and Deliver (4D of life). Even though I made this for myself, I am yet to think about the real meaning of this. I just wanted to follow my gut but forgot to go into more depth and discover why I created this for myself.

For the last 1 year, I have been trying to start reading this book but always stopped at desire or found myself lazy. I never give my dedication to it. Because I always wanted to complete the book in one go just like watching a movie or web series. But I forgot that a daily reading of 1 or 2 pages will help me finish this book. So, last night I started reading it. I am not there yet but now I know how to complete this book. While going through a few pages I found an exciting thing, the four-step model of habits- Cue, Carving, Response, and Reward (2C2R).

Somewhere I found similarities in my 4D and 2C2R both ask for cue or dreaming and Carving or Desire means you have to have some desire to get yes some people say that desire is the root of all suffering but even if you think for anything like praying that is also desire. So I want to put this desire thing in a good way. Desire for anything is not a crime, but every time for more may be wrong.

So if you want anything, see a dream and desire for it. Even APJ Abdul Kalam Sir also said "A Dream is not that which you see while sleeping it is something that does not let you sleep." So, When your Dream becomes your desire, the desire may not be your need, but you make this, you need your want to work tirelessly for it, which means you are on the correct path to acquiring or accomplishing your dreams.

Soon will write the next part of this article. Where I will write about the other 2 D's and more about the book and theories available in this book.
