February National Graduation Day

On Friday, February 9, 2024, we’re hosting this year’s first National Graduation Day – a celebration marking the start of new journeys for service dogs and their lifelong, human partners. From coast to coast, six graduations will each bring together puppy raisers, clients and community members for unforgettable ceremonies. Join us in person or watch our livestream.

Improving Airline Travel With Southwest 

It’s clearer skies ahead for air travelers with disabilities, thanks to a new committee dedicated to improving the travel experience for those who use assistive technology, including service dogs. Thanks to Southwest Airlines, our long-time partner, Canine Companions is on the Airlines for America Customer Accessibility Advisory Committee (CAAC), providing real-life experience to design effective solutions. Impact of Service Dogs on Veterans with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

A first-of-its-kind study aims to shed light on the impact of service dogs – trained in specific tasks to mitigate symptoms of PTSD – on quality of life and clinical outcomes.
