Canva Tutorial - Create Months of Content in Minutes

Canva Tutorial - Create Months of Content in Minutes

Following the successful LinkedIn & Canva webinar I delivered last week with Gunnar Habitz, I’m excited to share how you can efficiently create content using Canva’s bulk creation feature.

This powerful tool allows you to generate multiple posts simultaneously, ensuring your branding remains consistent while saving you valuable time. In this tutorial, I'll use a very popular prompt that made waves in the last two weeks to produce AI-generated insights and create engaging meme quotes that reflect your personality, making them relevant, shareable, and with viral potential.

I'll share the step-by-step process below, it's super easy to follow:

Steps for Bulk Creation in Canva

  1. Use ChatGPT to gather insights about your personality and generate ideas. For instance, you can prompt ChatGPT with this famous prompt:

  • “Hi ChatGPT, based on everything you know about me, could you please profile me? Emphasise things you believe I don't know about myself.”
  • Then follow up with: “This is very insightful, ChatGPT. Please create 10 meme quotes based on my personality. They need to be relevant, shareable, and have viral potential. Organise them in a neat table and add the image idea next to each quote.”

Use it to create content related to your business and directed to your ideal customer.

2. Organise Your Content:

  • After receiving your meme quotes, organise them in an Excel spreadsheet. Include columns for the quote text and any accompanying image ideas ChatGPT provides.

3. Export Your File:

  • Once your spreadsheet is complete, export it as a .csv file by going to File → Save As in Excel and pick up the .csv (comma-separated values file)

4. Set Up in Canva:

Open Canva and choose the Instagram 4:5 post option (this size works well for LinkedIn, too!).

5. Add Text to Your First Post:

  • Click on the letter “T” to add text to your post (handy shortcut here)

  • Add text to your first post (click the letter T on your keyboard), then add a picture frame box.

6. Utilise Bulk Create:

  • Choose Bulk Create, then select Upload Data.

  • Upload your .csv file containing the meme quotes.

7. Connect Your Data:

  • Choose the column with your quotes and connect it with the corresponding column in your spreadsheet.
  • Click Continue and watch the magic happen as Canva populates your posts with the text.

8. Customise Your Design:

  • Add images, edit, and format your posts using your brand colours.
  • Ensure each design maintains a cohesive look and feel.

9. Finalise and Schedule:

  • Review your creations to ensure they meet your standards.
  • Once satisfied, schedule your posts using a scheduling tool of your choice (I love and highly recommend Metricool) or directly from the Canva Planner.

Now go grab your coffee, get creative, and watch your content calendar fill up while you focus on more important things, my darlings.

Insightful Camelia Vasile 🌺 However, what about people who don’t like to use AI for their posts. I like to write my own content form my heart. What do you recommend for me?
