CAPS Spotlight - 5 April, 2024
Dear Friends,
It’s been a busy two weeks for CAPS. Our Director of Research, Dr. Annelotte Walsh , spoke about the challenges nonprofits face in securing operational funding at the “On Board Hong Kong 2024” conference hosted by the University of Chicago Booth School of Business on March 22. Our Senior Advisor, Kithmina Hewage , joined the global gathering at the One Earth Summit in Hong Kong on March 25 to discuss efforts and obstacles in achieving net-zero emissions.
Capacity-building is a much-needed service for social service organizations in Asia. To better understand the region's needs and opportunities for capacity building, CAPS convened social sector experts from 11 Asian organizations working in this field for an online webinar on March 19. We would like to thank our partners for sharing their perspectives and experiences.
Last but not least, we are excited to share our latest report, titled “Nurturing Minds: Early Childhood Education in Thailand.” This report delves into Thailand's early childhood education landscape, providing an insightful analysis while showcasing 12 initiatives led by local NGOs. You can download the report here.
