CAPS Spotlight - December 11, 2024
Dear Friends,
I would like to express my great thanks to our co-hosts, Asian Charity Services and the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC) 香港總商會 , for making the Doing Good Index 2024 launch in Hong Kong such a success. A special thank you to the 100+ participants who joined us! It was delightful to share key findings from the report to a full house and to engage in a thoughtful panel discussion about harnessing technology in the nonprofit sector.
Our Director of Research, Dr. Annelotte Walsh , will deliver a keynote address at the Philanthropy and ESG Forum: Driving Impact in a Changing World on 18 December 2024. She will explore major philanthropy trends and the changing ESG space in Asia. You can register for this in-person event here.
This will be our last newsletter for 2024. As we approach the end of the year, I would like to take a moment to extend my warmest gratitude to all of you. The year 2024 has been nothing short of remarkable for CAPS, and we have fully leveraged our strengths in research, advisory, and convening. Our research—both policy and applied—continues to shed light on the rapidly evolving philanthropy landscape in Asia. This includes insights on the current state of Asian funder collaboratives, corporate social responsibility trends among Taiwanese companies, and early childhood education development in Thailand, among other compelling topics. This year has also been enriched by a series of memorable events throughout the region (organized by our team!), where we have utilized our network to gather like-minded, passionate individuals to share ideas and spark innovation.
We will continue to provide data-driven, evidence-based research and foster greater collaboration with our partners for doing good. Lastly, CAPS office will be closed from 25 December to 1 January 2025—wishing you all a joyful and warm holiday season, and here’s to an exciting 2025!
Best,
Co-Founder and Chief Executive
