CaPTA takes home the 2022 Skål International Sustainable Tourism Award
The CaPTA Group has been recognised as a global leader in sustainable tourism, winning the 2022 Skål International Australia International Sustainable Tourism Award in the Major Tourist Attractions category.
The award was presented at the Opening Ceremony of the 81st Skål World Congress in Kvarner, Croatia, attended by CaPTA Director Of Sales & Marketing Ben Woodward on Friday 14th October.
CaPTA was selected as the winner by a panel of three independent judges on different environmental, social and economic criteria, including nature and culture preservation, carbon offsetting and climate change mitigation, renewable energy and waste management, and local employment and training.
The CaPTA Group is a company that takes its commitment to sustainability seriously. We are committed to minimising our impact on the environment, and we have introduced several initiatives to accomplish this goal.
These initiatives include natural resource management activities, waste reduction programs, solar energy, and education to name a few. These programs are designed to help us reduce our environmental impact while providing a better experience for our guests.
This commitment is further illustrated through participation in the ecotourism certification programs operated by Ecotourism Australia .
We periodically review and re-evaluate our environmental and sustainability initiatives as new information and technology becomes available. CaPTA complies with all relevant legislation and regulations and strives to achieve environmental best practice in all its operations.
Congrats! That's an amazing accomplishment!! One to be very proud of🥂
