Celebrating AI Appreciation Day: How AI Solved a Tricky SaaS Issue

In the ever-evolving world of SaaS products, debugging can sometimes feel like searching for a needle in a haystack, especially when the issue is not easily replicated. Recently, our QA team at Lucent Innovation faced such a challenge with a few customers of a specific client. The problem was elusive, and we couldn't simply ask the merchant to obtain detailed steps or device information from their customers. However, we managed to get a video from one of the customers, which was a significant breakthrough despite its limitations. The video was recorded on a mobile device, making it tricky to extract all the necessary details.

This is where the magic of AI came into play, showcasing one of its most crucial use cases. Armed with the customer video, our team leveraged AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini to dissect and understand the problem. Here’s how we did it:

1. Extracting Images from the Video: We took several screenshots from the client’s video.
2. Querying AI for Insights: Using ChatGPT and other AI tools, we asked specific questions:What device is this?What browser is this?Are there any differences between these images? (We provided an image from our phone and one from the customer's video)

The results were nothing short of amazing. The AI was able to identify that the issue occurred on an Instagram browser, and the profile auto-fill feature was enabled on Instagram. This insight allowed us to understand the root cause of the problem and quickly resolve it for our customer.
