Celebrating Strong Teams: Super Meeting 2022 Highlights

Thank you to our 700+ Nexstar members, Strategic Partners and employees who gathered for our annual Super Meeting, September 20–23, 2022 in downtown Austin, TX. With many memorable highlights to share, we've rounded-up a few of our favorite moments and LinkedIn posts from the event.

A key takeaway for Julian Scadden, Nexstar President and CEO, was experiencing the positive energy created through peer collaboration and meaningful connections. "Success through education and sharing will always be at the forefront of our member-owned organization. We continue to emphasize the value and importance of relationships, our ability to learn and listen to foster growth and further members' success. In my second year as CEO and realizing the efforts and commitment from our members to gather in person, it was rewarding to see so many individuals within our network come together for Super Meeting 2022. Thanks to our shared strength, we are poised for even greater success in the coming year. "

Life Changer Awards

Looking back, the organization's 30th Anniversary marked a moment in time to salute Nexstar's founding members and their vision, contributions, and commitment. Our Vice President of Operations Carrie Fraser shared her reflection in this post recognizing some of our founders with Life Changer Awards including founding members Dan Weltman and Tom Kelly along with Bob Blau, who accepted the award on behalf of our founder and his father, Frank Blau, Jr.

LinkedIn Highlights

We also saw compelling reflections from members as they shared posts highlighting their key takeaways. For example, Jarrod Thomas of Pure Plumbing & Air posted this video on accountability, and we love this #StrongTeams group photo shared by Quality Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electric .

Our Strategic Partners added another dimension of excitement, helping to build buzz for the annual Strategic Partners Tradeshow, a gathering to answer members' questions and feature products and services. A few we spotted include Aeroseal , Ruby , Powerhouse Consulting Group [ServiceTitan Titanium Partner + FieldEdge Partner] , Eemax, Inc. (a Rheem Company) , Contractor Commerce , MediaSpark LLC , Leasing Associates, Inc. , XOi , FieldEdge by Xplor , and Yellow Dog Creative .

Many of our Nexstar employees also posted highlights, including Customer Experience Coach Kristin Quate ,who shared her reflections as well as Allison Zimmer, Chris Hondl, Scott Sharrock, Alan Scott, and Kate Cinnamo.

Keynotes

Our Super Meeting theme - Strong Teams Grow Companies - emphasized building teams that work together confidently to successfully move a business plan forward. Nexstar invited several keynote speakers to elaborate on this theme, ensuring participants were both informed and entertained. Keynote speaker Marshall Goldsmith , New York Times–bestselling author of Triggers and What Got You Here Won’t Get You There, helped audience members think about what kind of leaders they wanted to be. Author, researcher, and economist Brian Beaulieu offered insights on what our economic future may look like. And, bestselling author of nearly 50 sports books, Ross Bernstein, CSP, CPAE, GSF , explained why certain teams win consistently, and why others don’t succeed.
