Since 1967, the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) has established itself as the most important technology event in the world. This 2025 it will celebrate its 58th edition, from January 7 to 10 in Las Vegas, with artificial intelligence (AI) as the protagonist, showing applications ranging from personal assistants and wearable devices to the advancement in glasses-free visualization technologies, which will transform different economic sectors with immersive 3D experiences.
The advancements that will be showcased at CES will take a significant step forward in the way we interact with visual content. Using AI-powered algorithms, 2D content will be converted to 3D in real time, improving not only the entertainment experience, but also the medical and educational applications that will reach the market. They will redefine our technological standards by allowing us, as users, not to need to learn different languages to communicate, thanks to simultaneous translation algorithms integrated into our lenses. It will even be possible to know the profile of the people we have just met and their latest interactions on social networks at the same time that we shake hands to greet them.
Consumer electronics leverages CES's capabilities to present personal devices that very efficiently monitor users' health and offer AI-powered entertainment experiences. These include surround sound that adjusts intuitively and dynamically according to the environment and user preferences. Likewise, the connected home will be the protagonist of the fair, presenting collaborations between brands such as Samsung with Instacart, a digital platform founded in 2012 that connects food stores with local retailers. This collaboration will enable Samsung's Bespoke 2025 refrigerators, including the 32-inch AI Family Hub™+ and 9-inch AI Home, to automate grocery shopping.
LG Electronics remains one of the favorites of CES, winning three of the main awards given by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) this year. Among the recognitions are the "Best of Innovation" award in video screens for the third consecutive year with its OLED televisions; the LG UltraGear™ OLED gaming monitor; and LG ThinQ ON as the best "brain" for a smart home, with seamless connectivity between appliances and Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Also noteworthy is its Self-Driving AI Home Hub, a robot with voice, sound and image recognition, powered by AI and designed for the home.
In health innovations, CTA awarded recognitions to devices such as:
• Meditrix Neurobiofeedback Chair, which combines mobile digital therapies for advanced neurological and mental health treatments through virtual reality-based movements.
• Bio Leg by BionicM Inc., a prosthesis for people with motor disabilities.
• Nearthlab's Drone First Aid Station, which uses drones for emergency medical assistance.
• LabSD Digital Ophthalmoscope, a tele-ophthalmology system made from recycled smartphones to perform high-quality eye exams in remote areas.
• CalmiGo Plus, a device for accessing a mental health platform for immediate and long-term relief from anxiety problems and post-traumatic stress disorder.
CES 2025 also highlights the automotive industry, with technologies that redefine mobility and vehicle safety, emphasizing electrification and customization of vehicles with advanced safety such as:
• VinAI's DrunkSense, a passive system that detects drunk driving with an 85% sensitivity.
• BMW Augmented Reality windscreen, which integrates AI and augmented reality to provide real-time information that improves user safety and driving.
• LG Innotek for Autonomous Vehicles, with lighting and sensors with connectivity to improve the safety and efficiency of the mobility of the future, today.
Don't miss the opportunity to follow CES 2025 closely, which will mark a before and after in consumer technology.
What happens in Las Vegas stays in our smart devices, homes and cars, because what we will see at CES 2025 will not only set a trend, but will define the future of our connected lives.
The innovation showcased at #CES2025 is absolutely mind-blowing! From real-time translation through AI lenses to BMW’s AR windscreen, it’s clear that the future is here—and it’s smarter, safer, and more connected than ever.
