ChatGPT and the Job Search? I Guess So!
I'm going to point you to a blog post I just wrote, but before that you should know that I'm not suggesting that ChatGPT should or will replace job search coaches, counselors, resume writers, etc. There's an immense amount of critical thinking that a job search professional brings to the table that, right now, is probably not going to come out of ChatGPT.
Having said that, I know not everyone can afford to hire a job search coach, resume writer, etc.
And, instead of saying one is better than the other, I'm presenting ChatGPT as a job search tool... one of many tools and resources to consider.

I've started a fun and interesting journey playing around with ChatGPT. I have a at least a dozen open browser tabs with articles I need to catch up on. This is really fascinating technology.

1yI believe you are correct in that ChatGPT won't replace career coaches or counselors - yet. Generative AI is in its infancy. Watch it evolve. Automation has already replaced/augmented many tasks of a career practitioner (think career guidance systems). AI will become far more sophisticated in the next couple of years and so will developers who will leverage its capabilities.
