The Cheetah Method to Seducing Prospects in the DM's In as Little as 4 Messages

The Cheetah Method to Seducing Prospects in the DM's In as Little as 4 Messages

Oi amigão!

(When you have that "ão" at the end of the word in portuguese, it means that something is "big" or "significant". So what I'm calling you, is my "big, significant friend".. or something like that.. You know what I mean)

So yea.. we learning all sorts of things up in this newsletter eh?

That's how we roll

Givin' out the value everyday

Your clients, friends, and family deserve it.

They all look up to you, did you know that?

They see you living a life on your own terms, with your own business, own hours, and own mission..

And it's inspiring.

The world doesn't just need you. It's your responsibility to inspire them, and do the hard things that bring more joy and life freedom

That is, if you want to be leave a legacy and make lots of money

If you don't, ignore everything I just said

Alright,

Yesterday I said I was gonna show you a way to use the DM's to book sales calls

And I won't disappoint.

So the topic of today's newsletter is how to book 5-10 high intent sales conversations every single week by sending DM's to followers you already have

I'm gonna show you the exact method I used to bring my coaching business from 0 to 10K/mo when I was first starting out

But no matter where you are in your business, you'll be able to use it

Unlike lots of other strategies, with this one, you're never gonna feel spammy, you'll always know what to say, and you won't have to spend all day on it

Good deal, right?

First, a quick story to get you all jazzed up about it:

About six months into my coaching biz, I had made one sale or so, but it was not growing as fast as I wanted to

So I looked to invest in some help

I then got sold into a 10K marketing coaching program that I was sure would bring me to the promised land

You ever have that feeling after investing in coaching?

I remember the night after I said yes, I went onto my roof, looked at the stars, and thought with bliss, "This is it, I'm never gonna have to worry about money again"

:/   :/   :/

Little did I know that where 10K actually brought me was to a couple group calls per week with 100 attendees each, a library of outdated videos, and a "we'll get back to you in 3-5 business days with any questions" mantra

Lame.

I didn't make sales and I couldn't pay the bills

The company was pulling thousand dollar chunks out of my bank account, WHILE I WAS ALREADY AT ZERO

So that sucked and I didn't know what to do.

Then this dude named Dan asked me how things were going, I said, "Not so good", and he invited me onto a call

I explained my situation, and for some reason that I can only explain with, "Because God", Dan offered me six weeks free access into his coaching program

On one of the first calls, Dan taught me his DM Cheetah Method

And boy did it work fast

On my second week using the method, I booked 5 sales calls

I had that feeling again, "OH MY GOD THIS IS IT! FINALLY!"

Except I knew in my bones it was actually true this time.

Right there, on my calendar, were people who wanted to talk to me

I knew that all I had to do, was keep sending messages, and I could keep booking calls

It was one of the most powerful feelings I'd ever felt, and continue to feel

A lead generation and sales process that works on demand, that I can turn on and off when I want..

Ooo, shivers

Don't worry, we'll get into all the rest of lead gen and sales soon.

But ain't that crazy?!

How I could spend 10K with a company where I got nothing

And be given everything for *free (the program was a $4K investment which Dan generously let me pay over time).

What do they call that? Love? Genuine service for others?

I'm not sure, but but all the love, and the Cheetah method, kickstarted my business

So,

Now that you know the power of the Cheetah (RAR!)

Lemme give you an important overview of the two erroneous types of DM strategies you've encountered, that simply. don't. work.

1. The Mass Send approach

This method means that you send thousands of DM's to untargeted prospects in an automated way in hopes that a few of them bite

Pros: You get to be very lazy and "'set it and forget it"

Cons: Whoever does say yes, is most likely not the kind of person you want as a client, and may not be ready to buy

Does it work?: No

2. The Fake Friendly Neighbor approach

With this method, you pick a few people you really want to work with and then start to "build rapport" with them. You ask about their day, and what their favorite cereal is while trying to subversively uncover problems they have.  Then one day, you pitch them

Pros: Unless you're a psychopath who enjoys random conversations with random people on the internet rather than doing real sales work, none

Cons: You have no idea if the person you're chatting up is in a position to buy anything. You may waste day for nothing. Not even a friendship

Does it work?: Nah

I'm sure you've noticed a polarity here with these two "daycare" level schools of thought

As with all the best things in marketing, we need a balance

We need a way to be personal enough so that we can build rapport and not come off salesy, but systematic enough that we can send a lot of messages, and send them fast

That's where the Cheetah Method comes in

Are you ready?

There are Four Parts to it:

1. The Connect Confirmation

Once you connect with someone on Linkedin, you want to say something that affirms your connection, and opens up a line of conversation

Just something simple like, "Hey [FNAME], great to connect 🙌"

Now wait 24 hours before sending next message

2. The Gift Giver Message

This is our way of giving value to our prospect, and hooking them into a conversation with us

Rather than just pitch something, like an uncultured robot, we're going to ask if they've tried a certain method or technique that could help them

We'll say what the method is, and bit about the benefit of using it.

If it sounds useful, they'll ask more about it. If it doesn't, they won't respond.

Either way, we didn't just burn a relationship with someone by pitch slapping them, and we've offered some real value that is personal to what could actually help

Rather than asking we are giving..

3. The Benefit Explanation

Once someone says they're curious about they method we just told them about in the Gift Giver message, we dig deeper into the benefits of it

Pay attention to the end of that last sentence..

We're just giving the benefits of the thing we're talking about. We're not trying explain how to do it, because that would make no sense. You can't teach someone something important in the DM's

So we're gonna give the benefit, get them understanding why it works, how it can help, and then ask if what we just said makes sense

4. The Close

Once they confirm that it makes sense, then we know they're hooked (9 times out of 10, they only respond if they're interested in what you're saying).

Since they're hooked on learning more, we can close by inviting them onto a call..

Good stuff right? Any questions about this so far? Let me know in the comments mmk?

So there's the theory behind all this

Lemme show you an example now:

90% of sales calls I've booked when using this method take no more than the 4 messages I've just shown you

Sometimes you need to be Dynamic, and have a "normal" conversation with a prospect, but typically, either they're interested and they respond, or they aren't and they don't

THERE'S SO MUCH TO THIS GUYS

There's so much nuance to DM'ing that I wish I could fit into this newsletter right now, but I'm gonna have to save it for future ones and trainings..

One other thing I can do for you right now though:

If you want to see me breakdown 5 or 6 of these conversations on video, I can send you a training I did a while back

It's about 45 mins long. In the first half I talk about all the psychology behind DM'ing and each of the message types, and in the second half I do complete breakdowns of the different types of situations you might get in to and how to handle them using the Cheetah Method

If you want the training, comment YES in the comments

Now.. for the future

Tomorrow I want to show you how to inject what Dave (my 8 figure copywriter biz partner) and I have determined is preeminence into your marketing..

The way we do things, and the way we want to show you how to do things, because its the best way of course, is to approach prospects in a way where we don't have to do any selling

What we do is set up all of our marketing communications and our systems so that when we approach someone we want to work with, it's Preeminent that they want to work with us to

Maybe is not the right time, or they're not a right fit or whatever, but regardless, we don't convince anyone  to work with us

We just show up, give value, and they convince themselves

Powerful stuff guys. Again, there's a lot to all this

But tomorrow I'm gonna show you the difference between some same-old repulsive marketing you normally see, and preeminent marketing that's gonna make everything about you more attractive

So there you have it. Doing my best guys

Peace.

P.S. If you want the training where I break down Cheetah Method DM's that I've used to book sales calls, comment YES below

Great post, Ryan! I'm curious about how you developed the Cheetah Method. What was the most surprising insight you discovered while crafting this approach?
