China Wind Power - for the courageous

China Wind Power, probably the largest wind power exhibition this year has come to an end. It started with a “Declaration on the Security of the Global Wind Power Industry Supply Chain” a commitment to growth, free rule-based trade and a sustainable supply chain. Then followed by 3 days packed with conferences, visitors in 6 halls and exhibitors from all countries.  Here my 3 take aways.

  1. It takes courage not to be afraid of such a dynamic environment.
  2. We may not have the production capacity to triple renewables (or more specific grow wind to 3.7x of today’s capacity) by 2030, but now I’m confident that it can be build.
  3. For me as Non-Chinese speaker it was easy to navigate, I wonder how easy it is for Chinese to navigate Hamburg Wind.
