Colas Work With Mutevo to Trial Low Carbon Patching Solutions

Back in February and March, we delivered a low carbon patching trial in conjunction with Colas Ltd and Cheshire West and Chester Council. The trial was split into two to allow Colas to compare Multevo’s standard permanent repair methodology, to the low-carbon hydrogen powered solution, the Hydrovo.

The Hydrovo features a dual-fuel hydrogen and Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) system which results in a 95% reduction in associated carbon emissions. The trial allowed Colas to understand the carbon savings associated with utilising the equipment. If you would like to learn more about the trial, please get in touch.

North Somerset Council Benefit from Innovative Repairs Trial

From January to March, Multevo completed permanent pothole, patch and defect repairs on behalf of Milestone Infrastructure and North Somerset Council, utilising Multihog repair methodology and turnkey solutions.

The purpose of the trial was to understand the benefits of implementing a permanent repair process in improving the condition of the roads.

9,303.65 square metres of permanent repairs were completed across 21 sites, with 440 individual defects repaired.

Arb Team Complete Essential Works at Local Cemetery

Back in April one of our tree maintenance teams volunteered at a local cemetery to safely cut back and remove trees that had become unsafe due to recent storms, heavy winds and aging.

Hoddlesden St Paul’s Church Yard is maintained by volunteers Sylvia, Derek, Annette and Robert who dedicate their free time to keep the area safe and looking well for visitors.

the works carried out have made it much safer for visitors to the cemetery. Well done team!

Paver Team are Making Waves Across the UK

At the beginning of the year we enhanced on our in-house surfacing fleet. This included a Wheel Midi Paver, Mini Paver, a new digger and a HD13 Roller

Our hybrid delivery model means we can switch up operations from hand-lay to machine-lay for those tricky in-between repair requirements that are too small for larger surfacing schemes. It allows us to be more productive, less disruptive and deliver a high-quality finish.

We’ve been working across the UK supporting clients with improving their network - well done to the team!

Social Value

Multevo Stay Close to Their Roots and Local Community

For the latest football season, Multevo have been the main sponsor of their hometown team - Darwen Football Club.

Multevo, who have over 60 individuals employed locally, have called Darwen their home since 2010, with the town playing a huge part of their growth journey. This made it a no-brainer to support the local community and grassroots football by becoming the main sponsor of Darwen Football Club.

In celebration, we created a video to showcase the team and our people who deliver services locally.

Watch the video here.

In addition, we’ve proudly sponsored: Anstey Nomads Under 7, Under 9 and Under 13 teams, Poppy Mai FC, Darwen Rangers Under 13s, Dorchester Town FC Under 18s, Blackburn Eagles Under 13s, and Blackburn with Darwen Town Football Team.

First Insight into the World of Work for Leo

Leo, Year 10 student at Darwen Aldridge Community Academy , spent two weeks with Multevo for his first insight into the world of work.

He spent time with various departments to gain an understanding of the different roles available in the industry.

For us it is important to encourage young people into the industry by highlighting the varied career paths available!

It was a pleasure to have Leo with us. Over the next couple of months we are welcoming a further 3 students to Multevo!

Shot at Dawn Memorial Restoration Success

We were pleased to be able to support our partners Amey and Staffordshire County Council in restoring a memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum.

Some of our employees spent time volunteering to help relocate the memorial to higher grounds. The memorial had been subject to decline due to frequent flooding and the move will help prevent future deterioration.

Well done to the team involved.

Industry Event Season is Well Underway

April saw events season kick back off with the Road Surface Treatments Association Annual Conference being the first in the calendar. At the event we unveiled our new look and were recognised during the conference for the good work we do to support our people.

Next up was the Adept Live Labs 2 Expo which brought the highways industry together to explore and discuss innovations, and how we can work together towards net zero.

Lastly, the team headed to London for the ADEPT Annual Spring Conference. An insightful day learning how local authorities are delivering better place services for their people.
