Concept Adidas Patchwork 👟

In this edition of my newsletter, I embark on what is undoubtedly my most ambitious project yet - a foray into the AI-generated universe of fashion.

For the first time, I'm venturing into the ambitious project of designing an entire clothing collection, combining two of my deepest passions: the vibrant and diverse art of patchwork and the legendary brand of adidas .

My goal is to elevate the familiar realm of streetwear by infusing it with contemporary patchwork designs, lively colour schemes, and overall a more adventurous take on the traditional black & greys in streetwear palettes.

Guided by a vision akin to stepping into the shoes of a Creative Director in partnership with Adidas - imagining, perhaps, a collaboration as groundbreaking as Jeremy Scott's legendary 2008 JS wings series, I immersed myself in an array of different photographic styles to capture an entire campaigns worth of images.

From the precision of studio shots to the dynamism of outdoor captures, both models and individual garments get showcased in settings designed to highlight their unique charm and cohesion. My goal? To weave a visual story so compelling, every piece appeared as though it was born from a singular, inspired collection.

To bring this vision to life, I've curated galleries - each a collection of nine chosen pieces, thoughtfully arranged by garment category and photography style.

This endeavour spanned a wide array of items, each selected to showcase the versatility and depth of the range: from model shots that complement shoes to stand-alone showcases of windbreakers; from oversized jumpers for men that draws inspiration from Berlin's edgy street style to graffiti themed jumpers for women; and from the casual cool of bucket hats and mesh tank tops to the essential urban flair of windbreakers, hoodies, cargo pants and utility vests.

I don't usually write anywhere near this much in my newsletters, as generally I prefer the AI images to do the talking for me, but I felt I needed to explain this concept range a bit more because it was a much bigger undertaking then simply exploring a new AI prompting technique (like I've done in many previous editions).

Having covered all that, let's cut to the chase and unveil the collection!

Love this Chris Branch ☕️ - especially the type treatments. I still find MJ has a real hard time w accurately generating type.
