Exploring 'Graffiti' Prompting 🎨
I'm thrilled to announce a fresh update on my ongoing experiments with the new Midjourney V6 Alpha.
For those who keep up with my regular posting updates, you're aware of my deep interest in the ability to generate realistic graffiti art using AI prompting, a journey that started with the launch of Midjourney version 1 more than two years ago...
Midjourney's latest version 6 (alpha) model has impressively enhanced the consistency and quality in graffiti art creation, spanning diverse subjects.

In this edition of the newsletter, I'll present moodboards like the one above that demonstrate the remarkable versatility of Midjourney's newest AI.
It's adept at producing stunning and genuine graffiti designs alongside objects and scenes that, until now, probably never featured graffiti, reflecting the expansiveness of Midjourney's training data and style transfer ability.
In my journey, I experimented with modifying a single foundational prompt, which led to unexpectedly successful outcomes across a diverse range of items.
This ranged from pop-culture-inspired masks, various weapons, hats, and other accessories, to renowned sculptures and celebrated works of art.

This style-based prompt method is more than a novelty; it's a compelling way to delve into the potential and boundaries of AI-generated art.
It challenges Midjourney to reinterpret a style or technique, like graffiti, in innovative and previously unattempted contexts. It's a continuous delight to conceive new prompt pairings and witness the AI's creative interpretations.
Alright, I acknowledge that part of the moodboard exploration was quite intense.
To lighten the mood, let's dive into some nostalgic gaming themes, explore various items, and also take a look at some of my favourite sneaker brands.
In the upcoming section, I delve into examining cars and trucks from multiple perspectives, alongside an exploration of various beverage brands.
Now, here's the part that truly amazed me: obviously, landmarks like these would never be permitted (and for good reason) to have graffiti in their vicinity, yet the style transitioned over to them very convincingly!
To wrap up the moodboards, I'm going to showcase a few of my favorite things in the world, including music tech equipment, guitars, and sports. I've also added a personal touch to the 'bits and bobs' section by incorporating 'Seedily' and 'Twigy', my former DJ name, into some of the items, achieved by fine-tuning my prompt and restructuring the hierarchy of the words to get Midjourney to focus on accurately recreating the words I gave it inside quotation marks.
