Concerned about your planned Classroom Trainings during lockdown?
Yes, it’s Corona time! We are quarantined at home, but remember, our minds are not! Technology has been one of the most productive tools in these testing times. Apart from working from home, this time can also be used for learning. An Instructor can teach a classroom of students sitting at home by conducting live sessions online. There are many questions that might loom in your head – How to develop this training content? Is it different from that of classroom training content? How can you modify your current Instructor Led Training content to Virtual Instruction Led Training?
Fret, not! The answers are all here. Let’s go through it step-by-step.
How to develop this training content?
This content will be very similar to ILTs; as we know there are three main components:
- Facilitator Deck (Classroom Training Material)
- Facilitator Guide
- Participant Guide
Is it different from that of classroom training content? How can you modify your current Instructor Led Training content to Virtual Instruction Led Training?
One of the major differences will be that the facilitator deck will need to have more graphics and less text for better learner retention. It will need to be more concise with short topics so that the session can have frequent breaks.
Secondly, the group activities in the facilitator deck will need to be converted to activities that the learner is able to do at home such as questionnaires, or solving a riddle, or coming up with 3 questions for discussion, etc.
So, it's a good time to connect if you're looking to modify your current ILT to vILT or create new training material to keep the learning going.
Learning for the times ahead!
