Confusion…
We live in a state of constant confusion. Faith and hope sustain us, TRUTH drives us, sin and evil holds us back from reaching our full potential. We seek answers to life and only find more questions. We deny facts and evidence to create realities that we can accept. They are not TRUTH, but they are easier for us to understand and live with.
The world is full of paradoxes, opposites that we must try to understand. Seemingly absurd or contradictory statements or propositions which when investigated may prove to be well founded or true. They are often the cause of our confusion.
Life and death. TRUTH and lies. Evil and goodness. The more you try to impress people, the less impressed they’ll be. The more you need help, the harder it is to sometimes get. And my favorite, the more you know, the more you know you don’t know. It is no wonder that we are confused.
Perhaps the greatest paradox of all is when we try to understand the purpose of our life. I know that I was born for a purpose and that throughout my life I have experienced several different things that have helped to define and shape this purpose. Some have been good, or even great, and others have been not as good or even bad. Each and every experience has prepared me in some way for that which will come, directing me towards my purpose.
These experiences have not always been clear or consistent with what is happening in my life at the time. I try to look back and put some of the pieces together, but this is rarely successful. Have you ever asked yourself this important question concerning the purpose of your life?
Often it is at a moment that you have been dealing with a crisis, a time of self-reflection or doubt, or a moment when you were feeling insignificant in the world. I think everyone has asked this question, or one like it, sometime in their lives. Or it might be a time when you ask “what do I want to be known for” at the end of my life? What will identify who I was or am?
Purpose can be defined as something that is meaningful to you and, you believe, may be of consequence to the world beyond. Your purpose can help you organize your life, give you a clear direction, and motivate you — especially when you encounter life’s inevitable setbacks and disappointments. There is no “magic button” to push to define your purpose; you hold the key and must discover it for yourself.
So why do I believe that I exist? I believe...My Purpose is to serve God, Impact the lives of others, and help make the world a little better! I have discovered that the way in which I can do this is through a pursuit of TRUTH in the world, what I am calling OneTRUTH Leadership!
TRUTH is determined through asking questions, reviewing evidence and testimony, and coming to and testing conclusions. Each day I ask what is this "one thing" in my life where I should concentrate my efforts? I believe that it Is my pursuit of TRUTH!
What is the nature of TRUTH? This directs us to the fundamental problem with trying to define TRUTH in human terms. We can get very deep into the weeds here and share several different theories of TRUTH, but it all breaks down into one basic thing. What do you believe to be true? Belief is the very foundation of TRUTH.
This is quite philosophical and can be interpreted in various ways. It suggests that what we consider to be true is often based on our beliefs. However, belief alone does not necessarily constitute TRUTH. TRUTH is a property of beliefs and assertions, but simply believing or asserting something does not make it true.

In other words, while our beliefs form the basis of our understanding and interpretation of TRUTH, they are not the ultimate arbiters of what is true. TRUTH must be grounded in reality and evidence, beyond just personal conviction. As such, the foundation of TRUTH is more complex, involving an alignment of belief with objective reality.
I have come to this conclusion, among all the other confusions in my life, based upon the fact that I believe there is only OneTRUTH in the world today. TRUTH is being attacked as never before, and it will only get worse as we enter the divides of the Presidential Election season, and our faith is questioned and replaced by what others want us to believe.
Everything we rely on, every bit of information, all scientific principles, our ability to make correct decisions, and our belief in God all depend upon TRUTH. The search for TRUTH can lead to significant improvements in our lives by enabling informed decisions, fostering innovation, and creating a more just society.
I no longer have confusion in my life for I know that in any situation, for any decision to be made, and in every circumstance, there is only one TRUTH. It is either true or it is not.
It is the TRUTH of God. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life” (1 John 5:20, NLT). Likewise, the Holy Spirit is the “Spirit of truth” who dwells within believers and leads them “into all truth” (John 14:17, NLT; see also John 15:26; 16:13; 1 John 5:6).
My OneTRUTH Leadership vision is – Discovering TRUTH – Improving and Saving Lives! Although a bold statement to base my life upon, we do not exist as a society without TRUTH; the pursuit of truth is indeed a fundamental aspect of human society and its progress. It’s a bold and necessary quest that underpins our scientific endeavors, our legal systems, and our daily decision-making. Can we change the current trends and move to a society based on TRUTH...I think so! And after physical death we have the promise of eternal life through believing in Jesus Christ and His resurrection.
Earlier I spoke of various paradoxes. One of these was life and death. I have concluded that death is not the final loss of life; the greater loss is when we are already dead, while we are still alive.
If we don’t still have goals to pursue and dreams to dream, ministries to engage in, and faith and hope, the only difference between us and those already physically dead is that we are still moving, we still have a chance to serve God and to share His TRUTH.
Where should we go for answers to life’s toughest questions, to the confusion and paradoxes we face daily? People seek answers in many different places. But I have found that there is only one TRUTH, the TRUTH of God.
We are placed where we are not by chance, not by luck, but by GOD’s intended purpose. We are perfectly situated right where we are—by the perfect-GOD’s-design! To do what GOD desires and because HE put us here; He gives us the ability to do HIS will. He does not call the qualified, he qualifies the called. So, the answer is to why God allows bad things happen to good people…for His Glory and Honor.
Asking questions of GOD is part of life, it is part of learning more about God, so we increase in our faith in HIM. Seek TRUTH in all things, ask and you will find.
