We announced the groundbreaking of the FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton, Ontario, marking the start of a $280 million renovation project to transform the facility into a state-of-the-art venue! ⚒️

Partaking in the development of the FirstOntario Centre project to build a best-in-class premier music, sports and entertainment destination for southwestern Ontario and beyond.” - Randy Reymer, Senior Vice President & Area Manager, Southwestern Ontario, EllisDon.

The renovated arena will have premium amenities such as seating, clubs, lounges, and suites, enhanced acoustics and advanced self-serve technologies. Back-of-house upgrades will include artist lounges, upgraded production facilities, and improved telecommunications infrastructure and security systems.

We shared an incredible time-lapse video of Centennial College's A Building which has recently been awarded the LEED Gold Certification by the CAGBC | Canada Green Building Council! 🏆

Completed last summer, this stunning building is not only Ontario's first Mass Timber Institutional building but also Canada's first Mass Timber Higher Education building. It's also designed with Zero Carbon and WELL Silver certifications, making it a true leader in sustainable design. With beautiful work done by DIALOG for the design of Centennial College's A Building, we're eager to share special parts such as the incredible Indigenous design credited to Smoke Architecture Inc., expressing the principles of Two-Eyed Seeing. Centennial College has also taken concrete steps towards inclusivity by ensuring all Gender-Neutral washrooms are available on each floor and creating a new Multi-Faith Prayer Room with separate male and female ablution rooms.

We are honoured to be part of a community valuing inclusivity, sustainability, and Indigenous culture. Thanks to the involvement from Gow Hastings Architects, Mantecon Partners Inc., and Colliers and congratulations to Centennial College for this incredible achievement!
