Content That Converts

Content That Converts

In the crowded digital space, capturing and maintaining your audience’s attention is a daunting task.

Many coaches and consultants start strong then struggle to remain fresh or even motivated.

In today's fast-paced world, people's attention spans are shorter than ever - less than a goldfish, in fact.

Creating content that is not just valuable but also engaging is no longer optional; it's essential.

Developing captivating content skills, isn't just about the information you share but how you present it.

Your face, voice, body language, and the space you use all play crucial roles in holding your audience's attention.

It's disheartening to put in so much effort for so little reward and you can change that.

It starts by hooking your audience from the start - getting their attention and then keeping.

The content you create is the gateway to everything else in your business - conversations, discovery calls, and sales.

Thus, compelling content is a must!

Not only does showcasing your expertise and personality allow your audience to get to know you and trust you - it also allows them to know it IS you creating the content.

Anyone can hire a writer or leverage AI to produce a polished article or post, but only you can be you on video.

You ideal potential clients want to see and hear from the real you.

And, right now, you have a unique window of opportunity to leverage video content to establish trust and connection with your audience since AI is working to create videos that look and sound like you and they are getting better, fast.

When you’re on camera, you’re not just sharing information, you’re building a relationship.

However, being on video means you need to be more than just a talking head.

You need to be visually and auditorily stimulating.

This means using your voice expressively, making dynamic use of your body language, and utilizing your space effectively.

When I train clients in captivation skills, participants often start with high energy and excitement, learning these skills and practicing them in a supportive and often laughter-filled environment.

Then, when they venture out to create content on their own, they often struggle.

Without a live audience to play to, the black hole of the camera can be intimidating.

The result?

Content that feels flat.

So, how do you keep your content engaging and dynamic without a live audience to play to?

Practice.

Play bigger to the camera - exaggerate your expressions and movements.

Yes, you will feel like a weirdo, but the end result will not seem so.

The camera flattens everything into two dimensions, so what feels outrageously exaggerated to you will look just right on screen.

Your voice should be animated and varied to keep the auditory stimulation high.

Think about this: If you were watching content that is visually dull or monotonous, you would tune out - your audience is no different.

Captivating content leads to higher engagement, more responses to your messages, better attendance at your events, and ultimately more discovery calls and sales.

This is a great topic. I love the point on "exaggerating on video". So true. It's what I teach... Though, I do go a step further to help ambitious women who want their fears eradicated for good. They don't just want to fake it until they make it. They want deep lasting change! Thanks for sharing.
