In this week's edition of my newsletter, I'll be sharing with you the content writing trends in these times and seasons we're in.
You must have noticed some of them, so now you'd get them clearly as I've arranged them for your study in this article.
Let's journey together.
7 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞
1. 𝐀𝐈 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐎𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐞
Now, more content you'd find online will be written mostly by AI. Truly, AI-generated content, for instance, Chat GPT, can't capture human mode of communication, emotion and intelligence. It's been used by humans to make content writing faster, easier and more productive.
Again, the Google search engine has a way of recognizing content generated via AI. However, there are still policies it offers for the sane use of these tools if you still want to use them in creating content that'll rank.
As a result, much more content will be generated using AI in these times. It's one of the content writing trends you should take note of.
2. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐎𝐟 𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬
Have you been seeing how much people consume video content? It's becoming much more powerful than ever.
Videos are making history in digital marketing in our time. This trend will rise significantly in 2023 (this year).
You should take advantage of it to increase your content visibility, following and connections on Linkedin, and other social media channels.
3. 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬
Are you a content writer? You need to niche down because that's what's trending in these times.
A niche refers to a subcategory or a particular part of an elaborate range of service or product offerings. It targets a specific set of audiences and it can be highly specialized and designed to meet the needs of the selected few in that category.
The summary of what this means is that the content will cater to a smaller audience group.

4. 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠
Social Media influencers are gaining massive ground in these times. They have massive following on different social media platforms and their content often influences and makes people take action.
Of course, this is because of the perception people have about them. In 2023, more brands are leveraging the popularity and influence of social media influencers to help their businesses and marketing.
5. 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭
In a world where content writing is a skill which almost everyone wakes up to claim as their skill-set, evergreen valuable and well-written content has been lost in the midst of many shabby, copied and plagiarized products out there.
Hence, one of the primary edges a content writer must leverage in 2023 and beyond, is to consistently and strategically deliver utmost value.
6. 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐎𝐧 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭
Trust you know we're in the era of AI writing content and producing various pieces of writing. It's therefore important that humans are employed to input liveliness and reality to connect to the readers or audience of a particular content.
Businesses and individuals who want to build a brand that will be highly recognized and acknowledged would need to focus on the human connection in creating their content strategy.
7. 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐈𝐬 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐝
Most blogs and articles are based on already existing information. In these times, people are looking for first-hand knowledge. Many tech companies are creating fresh content from fresh research and development they're making in their work.
The truth about AI-generated content is that it's limited in knowledge of events. It cannot go beyond what it's programmed to do or know.
Hence, in 2023, one of the content trends is that primary research addressing real-life problems happening in real-time will be in high demand.
And guess what?
Businesses, brands and organizations that provide these will scale to massive growth.
𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐋𝐔𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍
