COVID-19 UPDATE

COVID-19 UPDATE

Further to our previous article on 18 March 2020, we would like to provide updated information in relation to our procedures and response to the evolving COVID-19 situation.

As you can appreciate, we are receiving a very high volume of enquiries at this time which has resulted in some delay in response times. While we understand that delays can be frustrating, we appreciate your patience and assure you that we are responding to all queries as soon as possible.

 URGENT ISSUES

As our staff members are now working from home, if you have an urgent issue, please call your strata manager’s mobile number to discuss and prioritise the matter. Our after-hours number is 0481 269 557 which you should call in the event of an emergency outside of our business hours.

 NON-URGENT ISSUES

To enable us to deal with a non-urgent matter please email our general email address enquiries@stratacentral.com.au . This will assist us in dealing with your query in a timely fashion.

 GOVERNMENT RESTRICTIONS

With the current Government restrictions, we are not taking meetings with clients in our office. If you need to meet with your manager, we are happy to arrange a video or telephone conference, just contact your manager.

 STRATA & COMMITTEE MEETINGS

As General & Strata Committee Meetings are no longer able to be held in person, we will be working with Strata Committees to make necessary arrangements for alternatives, including video conferencing and pre-voting options.

 POSTAL SERVICES

While the postal service remains unaffected at this time it is unknown if, or when, this might change. As such, we ask all owners to consider updating your communication preference to receive all correspondence and levies by email. You can do this by sending an email to enquiries@stratacentral.com.au

 CLIENT PORTAL

As some of you may be aware, there are a number of documents available on our Client Portal which can be accessed from the Strata Central Website by clicking on Client Portal in the top right corner of the home page. If you need your login details re-issued, please send us an sms or email and we can provide your unique username and password.

 FURTHER INFORMATION

In relation to living in strata during this crisis, please see below some useful information.

 SHARED FACILITY

All facilities, such as pools & gyms, should be shut down and residents no longer use them. This is in line with the Government decision to shut down all pools, gyms & indoor sporting facilities. We encourage residents to remain active by downloading fitness apps or using online services.

 WORKS

The current Government restrictions still allow the provision of essential services, which means we will continue to require access to apartments on an as-needed basis, for inspections and repairs.

We will be liaising with Strata Committees in relation to the undertaking of non-essential work during this period for both residents’ safety and financial considerations, given many owners will be experiencing hardship.

 SOCIAL DISTANCING

Currently, social distancing is paramount. We recommend properties place signage in common areas to remind residents of the social distancing requirements, including in confined spaces such as lifts. The number of residents in a lift at any one time should be reduced in accordance with the size of your lift. Residents should also be encouraged to use their keys or a pen to press the lift call buttons, rather than their fingers.

Strata Committees should contact their strata manager if they would like to discuss signage options.

 REPORTING A POSITIVE TEST RESULT

In order to keep us and your building informed, we ask any resident who has received a positive COVID-19 test result and is self-isolating within their apartment to please advise your strata manager and authorise them to inform other residents and contractors that service the building.

 STRESS & ANXIETY

We appreciate that this pandemic has caused an increased amount stress and anxiety and we will continue to work with you all to try to alleviate your concerns at this difficult time.

Should you feel stressed and anxious, or you are depressed as a result of the current health crisis, we recommend you contact your medical practitioners or nearest hospital.

This a time for neighbour to support neighbour. As our leaders tell us, we are all of us in this together.

Please keep healthy.

Very sensible advice Reena. Good to identify the issues within your own industry & deal with it upfront so everyone is on the same page. Take care & keep up the great effort, I am sure you are tired & stressed - make sure you take personal time my dear.
