Creating Authority: One Simple Tip
This won't be a long post but, hopefully, a useful one. I was researching books for one of my clients to help position his book for success, and came upon the best-selling book, "The ONE Thing: The Surprisingly Simple Truth Behind Extraordinary Results," by Gary Keller.
This book came out in 2013, almost four years ago. It has almost 1400 reviews, mostly five-star recommendations. It is #43 paid in Kindle, a very good ranking, as the book sells for $13.21 in as an eBook. But, good news. You can get it for free if you are a Kindle Unlimited member of Amazon.
What the book emphasizes is focusing on ONE Thing that will help you get more out of doing it than any of the other things you can choose to do. One story I found very compelling was about a business owner who was helped by Keller to figure out his ONE Thing. It turned out to be changing his management team out for a new team of top-end, collaborative people. This One Thing took that business owner to the next level of success and even the next one after that.
“Work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. The other four balls-- family, health, friends, integrity-- are made of glass. If you drop one of these, it will be irrevocably scuffed, nicked, perhaps even shattered.”
― Gary Keller, The One Thing: The Surprisingly Simple Truth Behind Extraordinary Results
