DAILY DEVOTIONALS SUMMARY MONDAY DECEMBER 30, 2024.
1. Pastor E. A. Adeboye
Topic : Forget The Things Of The Past
Text : Philippians 3:13, Isaiah 43:18-19
Food for thought: Dwelling on the past is unfruitful, but gratitude and faith in God prepare you for the blessings and opportunities ahead.
Lesson: You need to let go of regrets about the past and focus on the new year with gratitude for God’s goodness. Trust that God can turn any loss into profit when you keep Him at the center of your life and live in righteousness. Beloved, if you want to experience God’s blessings in the year ahead of you, make up your mind to live according to His will daily.
2. Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, Daily Manna, DCLM
Topic : Watch Out For False Prophets
Text : Deuteronomy 13:3, Deuteronomy 13:1-11
Food for thought: False prophets often make the loudest noise and the biggest splash.
Lesson: False prophets, like wolves in sheep’s clothing, lead people astray and contradict God’s truth. You need to watch out for false prophets by testing their actions and words against the Bible's truth. Pray for discernment and rely on God’s Word to avoid being deceived by their schemes.
3. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Rhapsody Of Realities, Christ Embassy
Topic : Freedom From Sin
Text : 1 John 1:9, Romans 6:12-14; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Colossians 1:13-14
Food for thought: God’s focus is not just forgiveness but granting you freedom from sin to live righteously as the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
Lesson: Freedom from sin means living a life of righteousness, not just being free from the bondage of sin. You need to acknowledge your sins and believe in Jesus to receive freedom and be justified before God.
4. Dr D.K. Olukoya, Mountain Top daily Devotional, MFM
Topic : Who Art Thou, O Great Mountain?
Text : Zechariah 4:1-9, Luke 1:37
Food for thought: Tough time never lasts; tough people do.
Lesson: Life’s challenges, no matter how great, are powerless before God when you remain in His will and seek His intervention. Do not give up or get discouraged when difficulties arise, because God is able to turn every challenge into plain ground. Stay committed to God’s purpose, and He will see you through to completion.
5. Bishop Dr Mike Okonkwo, Wisdom For The Day, TREM
Topic : Focus On The Spoken Word, Not On Your Experience
Text : Romans 4:18, Romans 4:13-25
Food for thought: Your faith should be anchored on God’s spoken Word, not on your experiences or current circumstances.
Lesson: You need to call forth what you desire, not what you are experiencing, because faith speaks what is not yet visible as though it is. Believe in God’s promises against all odds, trusting that His Word will accomplish what it declares.
6. Dr Pastor Paul Enenche, Seeds Of Destiny DIGC
Topic : Accessing Light By Uprightness
Recommended by LinkedIn
Text: Psalm 25:12, 14.
Food for thought: Consecration is the doorway to revelation; to separate yourself is to access insight from God's Word.
Lesson: Sin covers the eyes of man from accessing insights from the Word of God. When you live recklessly, speak carelessly, and associate with ungodly people, you block your access to scriptural revelation. Make up your mind to live upright. Separate yourself from every form of impurity and iniquity. Maintain the lifestyle of uprightness to access insight from the Word of God.
7. Bishop Dr Chris Kwakpovwe, Our Daily Manna, MPM
Topic : Your Helper Is Waiting
Text : Genesis 1: 1 – 4, Mark 16:15–20
Food for thought: Your words of faith activate God, the Holy Spirit, and your helpers to bring about the change you desire.
Lesson: You need to speak the change you want to see because your words authorize God and His angels to act on your behalf. Faith requires action, so step out and do what the Spirit of God inspires you to do. A closed mouth is a closed destiny; your helpers are waiting for you to give voice to your faith.
8. C.A.C: The Living Water
Topic : The Laws Of Marriage (III)
Text : Ephesians 4:3, Ephesians 4: 2-4, 32
Food for thought: Strong and fulfilling marriages are built on sacrifice, forgiveness, and appreciation, as outlined by God's principles.
Lesson: The 6th law of marriage is the Law of SACRIFICE; prioritising your partner's well-being and interests over your own. The 7th law is the Law of FORGIVENESS and the 8th law is the Law of APPRECIATION. By consistently applying these principles, we can genuinely make our spouses better individuals for God, ourselves, our families, and society.
9. The Daily Fountain. Anglican Communion
Topic : Bearing Witness To The Light
Text : 1 John 1: 1-10
Food for thought: Jesus, the eternal Word and Light of God, calls us to walk in His Light, live free from sin, and fellowship with God and others.
Lesson: God is Light, and there is no darkness at all in Him. To associate with Him therefore, we must walk in the Light and in fellowship with one another and allow the Blood of Jesus to purify us from all sin. Remember that Jesus, who was with God before creation, has authority over all things, and His name is above every other name.
10 Daily Guide, Scripture Union
Topic : Desperate Fervent Prayer
Text : Psalm 88:1-18
Food for thought: In times of suffering and despair, fervent prayer directed to God brings comfort, healing, and hope.
Lesson: You need to turn to God in prayer when facing challenges, trusting Him to hear and help you. Be a prayer companion for others who are hurting. Show God’s love to them and bring hope to their lives.
