David Bailey watch out! 📸
I wanted to know how to take good pictures with my phone, so I got in touch with a photographer friend to help me.
I thought my problem was not knowing what the different settings where on my phone and so I asked the question, “What do these different settings mean / do”?
She wasn’t really sure either as her phone camera was more basic.
“But how do you take such amazing pictures with your phone?” I asked.
That was a better question.
She taught me how to use the frame for position, the composition that makes up a good picture, how to use lighting and zoom for effect.
It was a very productive chat.
Asking the right questions is powerful – it’s what I do as a coach when working with clients.
And it’s something you can learn to do better for yourself...
If you find yourself using phrases like:

Instead ask yourself:
These questions are so much more powerful and will help you move forward instead of staying stuck in the belief that you can’t, it’s too hard, you’re not confident enough.
PS - One of the wonderful things about coaching is how it helps you reflect on the impact of your thought patterns. I offer a range of coaching options that will help you move from limiting patterns of thought to much more powerful and impactful beliefs.
