"EVENTS are not just where you have been; they indicate where you are going" Jannine Barron

The events you attend say a lot about your priorities. Events spark inspiration, and new friends and relationships with zoom colleagues are cemented when you finally meet in person.

Events also amplify your voice and help you be receptive to learning dynamically. They allow you to reflect on your purpose and find new ways to express yourself. Basically, they are really important to have on your calendar.

Can you list the events you attended in 2022 and how they helped you?

Here are some of the events I attended in 2022 and the events I'm already booked for in 2023.

BOARDROOM 2030 - Eden Project Cornwall.

Here my purpose was elevated tenfold! It was a dream to visit EDEN, a place I'd been wanting to visit for 15 yrs. The team at LEAP created an action-oriented event, and I learnt about Youth Boards and their power for the first time. I also met the only B Corp photographer in the UK, Claire, who I booked for a photo shoot the following month and I met Leadership Coach Wilma for the first time off zoom. I value them both as clients and as inspirational company.

GOODFEST CORNWALL

WOW!!! A must-have on your calendar if you are committed to creativity or regeneration in your business. Love, Nature, Inspiration, Creatives, Changemakers - this event had it all. Deep reflection, connection and community in the heavenly location of Bedruthen Hotel, Cornwall. I ran a workshop here called "What is your one Wild Idea for Humanity" wow! It's also where I signed the Creative Charter that you can commit to online from anywhere globally. Check it out here.

RESET-CONNECT LONDON EXCEL

A chance to meet fellow members of The Better Business Network prompted my attendance, including the pioneering Rebecca Heaps and her sharing economy panel that was the most popular room at the event. I discovered that corporate sustainability is way behind the revolution being forged by small business owners, and I will return in 2023 to bring a regenerative focus as a speaker.

ANTHROPY

A massive vision and undertaking at the beautiful Eden Project. Regenerative Spaces and conversations sat alongside challenging old paradigms. There was one mission, how do we launch meaningful change at every level of British Society in a climate emergency? A gathering of key corporate, academic and small businesses. Needs more diversity and inclusion, but it was a great first year. Sparked many new relationships that are evolving and exciting! See you in 2023 for sure! #anthropy on linked in to see a variety of views, articles and short clips about the event.

I have a few events pencilled in for 2023, starting with January 19 in Manchester at the Better Business Summit, where I will be speaking as well as learning. You can join me there and use this code SUMMIT20 for 20% ticket discount.
