Dealers Love To Gamble
Dealers love to gamble. There is a reason that NADA Las Vegas is consistently the most attended show vs. other cities.
They also love to gamble to get more business. At least that is what they think. They believe any change in process
They are willing to gamble that the person they are doing business with is who they say they are. They think "scanners" will protect them. Plus, what are the odds they will get taken? Pretty high actually. 2 Billion in automotive losses in 2022 per TransUnion shows fraudsters are winning these hands and the problem is getting worse.
They are willing to gamble that their buyer has valid current insurance
They double down with the state statute
Big gambles with employees as well. What are the odds a sales rep will leave a copy of a drivers license laying out or even in a folder on a desk? What about the shrewd ones that take a picture of the license and sell it on the dark web for $500 a pop? Or the ones that break Safeguard rules
