(de)Location - It’s Time to Reconsider
Labor Day marks the end of Summer, which is sadly approaching very quickly. The pandemic has forced all of us to take a second look at various aspects of our lives, what’s really important, and in which areas we might want to make changes. Fall helps put those changes in perspective as kids will be returning to some form of education.
Creative solutions to these problems are needed the most right now to simplify our lives. As a licensed Realtor in Washington State, home buying and selling are still thriving despite what you might think. I am seeing many people de-locating to areas that are more affordable, spacious, and less densely populated. Now that many professionals have turned to online work and productivity, living close to work is quickly becoming a thing of the past.
What many people don’t know is that Washington State has so much to offer outside of the major Metro Tech hub of Seattle.
Without a state income tax, you instantly give yourself a raise, especially if you are coming from the highly densely populated areas of San Francisco or New York. Washington State is blessed with water and mountain views, plenty of space, and fresh air.
In the quaint vacation/leisure town of Ocean Shores WA, I just helped a family purchase a newly constructed home for only $200,000. With interest rates at historic lows, this equates to a mortgage of less than $1,000 per month! There are so many Washington towns and neighborhoods that have unique features your family would surely be happy to call home.
