Destiny Coaching Model

“Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That they may run who reads it.” (Holy Bible, Habakkuk 2:2)

The Destiny Coaching Model is not like other coaching models. It accelerates breakthrough from weeks to minutes, aligning people closely to their calling and growing them spiritually along the way.

It is the very first coaching model, liken to the Constantinople Bible Conference in A.D. 325, historically significant as the first effort to attain consensus in the church through an assembly representing all of Christendom, the Council was the first occasion where the technical aspects of Christology were discussed. Through it a precedent was set for subsequent general councils to adopt creeds and canons (aside comment: "whether we agree with their choices is another matter...").

This Council is generally considered the beginning of the period of the first seven ecumenical councils in the history of Christianity. Much of the debate hinged on the difference between being "born" or "created" and being "begotten". Arians saw these as essentially the same; followers of Alexander did not. The exact meaning of many of the words used in the debates at Nicaea were still unclear to speakers of other languages.

Greek words like "essence" (ousia), "substance" (hypostasis), "nature" (physis), "person" (prosopon) bore a variety of meanings drawn from pre-Christian philosophers, which could not but entail misunderstandings until they were cleared up. The word homoousia, in particular, was initially disliked by many bishops because of its associations with Gnostics (who used it in their theology). As Homoousion (/ˌhɒmoʊˈuːsiɒn, ˌhoʊm-/ HO(H)M-oh-OO-see-on; Ancient Greek: ὁμοούσιον, lit. 'same in being, same in essence', from ὁμός, homós, "same" and οὐσία, ousía, "being" or "essence"), and because their beliefs had been condemned at the 264–268 at the Synods of Antioch.

Therefore, it's important to have a blue-print coaching model, of where to start, as the foundation is just as important as the structure. The Destiny is to create a "frame of reference" as your own personal coaching bible. Of which the foundation provides the professional start, liken to the verse "In the beginning was the Word...."

Frame of reference (FOR) is the key to mind and body transformation. This mental record of reality represents our past experiences that help shape beliefs, behaviours, ideas, conditions or assumptions that will determine how we perceive, approach, understand and interpret life.

Reasons to have a Blue-Print Coaching Model

  • Turns your dream, your vision into reality
  • Stops you staying stagnant
  • Propels you forward, gives you direction
  • Helps you understand what is a good plan
  • Gives your Spirit something to work with
  • Motivates you!
  • Helps you to exercise your faith

The 'Destiny Coaching Model' activates an individual more fully into who they were created to be, by connecting them with their deepest hearts desires, their true identity and purpose and deeper connection with creator spirit.

here are 3 keys you can use to cultivate an environment where lasting, positive transformation will happen in your life:

Step 1 – Cultivating Desire and Passion

A surprising number of people speak the speak about changes they would like to see in the world and their own lives, but they are not really ready for change. They are not really ready to walk the walk. The gap in between is a lack of passion.

There is a big difference between, thinking ‘yeah, I’d quite like……..’ and ‘I long for transformation and change in…..’. . The difference is the level of desire, the level of passion.

Our level of desire directly affects our behaviour. Unless we feel strongly about the transformation we desire, it’s unlikely to happen. In the 'Destiny Coaching' model, we unashamedly use the word ‘passion’. Unless you feel passionate about something, you are unlikely to stretch into your full potential to bring it about.

Everyone is passionate about something. Even if you think you are not, you are. Accessing this passion, what Spirit has planted deep in your heart, the things that really matter to you, what you can confidently say, ‘yes I am passionate about that’, is a key first step towards experiencing transformation.

Ask yourself; what really matters to me? Meditate on this. Write down what is really important to you. (A Co-Creative Coach can help you draw this out using many tools and techniques which help you find your passion).

Think about how you can find and cultivate your passion and keep it alive.

Step 2 – Openness of Mind

Secondly, we must work on having an openness of mind for our passion. We won’t see transformation if we have fixed ideas on the process of how it should happen, the way the end result must look or the timing. Being open to what Spirit will do, how your spirit will do it, what it will look like, and when it will happen, helps it to happen. Even when we think we are open, sometimes we’re not.

We may be resisting a particular area which is the very route that Spirit has provided for us to change, grow, and transform.

It’s not always easy. Some people tend to think if it’s not easy then it can’t be the Spirit, which means they miss opportunities that their spirit has put in their life, which need to be fought for.

Contrary to this, it’s not always difficult. Others feel that they need to suffer, and it needs to be difficult, and they make decisions towards opportunities that are not best suited to them because of this underlying belief.

The answer is being in tune with our heart’s desires and destiny's plans and season for us.

Ask yourself, what mindsets could I have that are limiting me?

How open am I to the process towards transformation?

How open am I to the way the end result looks?

Step 3 – Faith and Courage

Most understand that they need faith. Faith is a vital component to everything. Understanding what faith looks can be complex. It is not always waiting to see what happens. Many times, we are the ones that need to step out in faith.

This is where courage plays a huge role. So many of us, find an incredible vision for what we would love to transform, but we simply just wait on it all happening or we never find the courage to initiate it. Courage is so key.

We need confidence and courage to be transformed and to transform the world. The good news is we can coach others and ourselves to have more courage. Each and every person’s courage looks different. We just need to find our personal courage and learn how to hold onto it.

Remembering times in our lives when we used it helps. Unpacking times when we showed courage and meditating on what it looked like and how we applied it, helps us both find and grow our courage.

We can build on our very own testimonies of courage by remembering how God showed up for us then. When I coach people through this, the results are more or less instant! The inspiration and encouragement of remembering our testimonies never fails.

When coaching people through this I see them inspired to think totally differently about what beforehand felt scary. They find strategies to conquer the fear and push through to some incredibly bold and courageous actions.

Ask yourself, how much faith do I have that transformation is going to happen in my life? (If you have a lot of faith, you will be pursing it. Faith is indicated by action)

Faith in action means that you have a plan for this season and for the mid and long term.

Obviously, we make plans, but remain completely open to Holy Spirit guiding our plans. They may well change, but we do have a plan, and we are pursuing it!

Using this co-creative coaching model an individual encounter truths in each coaching conversation which transforms thinking, clears obstacles and releases them into greater freedom.

PASSION

When you are looking for 100% clarity and confidence in knowing your purpose, it can’t be done using a set formula. Each and every person will have such a different type of purpose.

If you have done personality tests or any other kind of formulaic approach to purpose discovery before, you will certainly know elements that are important, but the most important element to start with is finding the passion.

What is the point of discovering your purpose and not being excited about it! There is no point at all. Your purpose is so unique to you and your heart and what matters to you. It is handcrafted by your Spirit for your personality; what you love, where you feel most fulfilled and doing what you are best at. Anything less than something that totally resonates with you, makes your heart jump, energises you, and makes you feel like it is simply too good to be true, is a compromise!

The foundational starting place that we go to with Destiny Coaching model which is to awaken your heart and spirit and discover your passion, in a deep dive discovery process.

What has bought you the most life and fulfilment already in your life?

What dreams and desires do you have?

What does passion even look like for you?

What may be buried in your heart that you haven’t explored or dared to give time and space to?

What does Spirit want to show you about the passion planted in you when you were created?

PURPOSE

Next, what do we do with all we find?

We move to the all-important stage of crafting a highly resonant and compelling vision for your life. This is done whilst also connecting to your Higher Self (if you desire this). This provides us with your mandate or assignment or mandates/assignments.

The next part is to coach you to have an overarching, high-level life purpose statement. This will resonate with you and provide you with an anchor to measure decisions against. Maybe a job, or an idea comes to mind. You can measure it against your life purpose statement and ask yourself does it fit in to your purpose?

The life purpose statement gives you details about the messages and values you carry, the audiences you are called to impact, the roles and functions you work best in, your strengths, talents and anointings, and the impact that you can and will have on the world.

PLAN

Finally, all this discovery is fantastic, but we all need a plan!

How can we create a plan to align with our purpose and to step into it in the Spiritual’s timing? How can we create a plan which is Spirit-led, wise and achievable?

How can we know what preparation we have already gone through and have yet to go through?

How can we know what goals we set for today and what goals need to be longer term?

These are all areas that can be clarified by Destiny Coaching’s blue print model, as it coaching gives awareness of your season and coaching you into an encounter with your Spirit to show you exactly where you are at and what is next.

Once you have been through this coaching framework you can be 100% confident in your purpose for your life, the current season you are in towards it, and what you are to work on now as opposed to what you are working on later in years to come.

WISDOM FOR THE COACHEE

TIP 1 – Be sensitive to your personal season, and the seasons that relate to what you are doing (eg, your Spirit may be showing you to go into a rest season and draw back. Or the audience for what you want to do may not yet be ready, the Spirit may have more preparation work to do on you or them.)

TIP 2 – Get ‘wise’ counsel (eg, not ‘dream killers’, but rather people that can evaluate if the plan is sensible or not, without a dominating fear of the risk, like a Coach.)

TIP 3 – Be adaptable and flexible along the way, it’s easier then for your Spirit to guide you

TIP 4 – Don’t be too attached to the outcome and how things may actually come about – the Spirit always seems to do things in ways we don’t expect.

TIP 5 – Be prepared for it to be bigger than you expect, but also be prepared for it to be smaller than you think.

This can be the first coaching conversation used as a blue-print coaching model that gives the coach a holistic approach of the Coachee, and then go on to use the mix of other coaching methods but this Destiny model will be the blue print for achieving the aims.

“The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.” (Holy Bible, Proverbs 21:5, NIV)
