Facebook/Meta New ad aspect ratios

When you upload your ad creative, Meta recommends 3 aspect rations

  • 1:1
  • 9:16
  • 1.91:1

Now, Meta/Facebook recommends, 4:5 aspect ratio despite that fact this update conflicts with Meta's own recommendations.

Meta says: “Vertical 4:5 is recommended for single-image ads to be delivered to the ad placement Facebook Feed.”

This is a helpful grid (https://lnkd.in/gvaprvpS) that provides the accepted and recommended aspect ratios.

Meta recommends 4:5 for the following placements:- Facebook Feed- Instagram Feed- Facebook Video Feeds- Instagram Explore Home- Facebook In-Stream Videos

In most cases, this is for both images and videos.

What should social media look like for charities and non-profit organisation in 2025?

Building a digital community takes time but with the right plan in place social media will drive impact. Secondly, and it's important to remember this, the more engaged a digital community is, the greater opportunities you have to make a real difference.

🎯Firstly, focus on engagement. Remember to welcome new followers, initiate conversations and respond to all incoming communication.

🎯Secondly, create inviting content that aims to make your followers feel engaged and included in your charity. What kind of content do you post?

🎯Use social media to steward new supporters. This could be done by sharing real life stories, highlight relevant data or simply answering their questions.

🎯Next, figure out how you can you turn followers in advocates?

🎯Lastly, understand your target audience.

What would you add?

Google Ads play an important role; raise awareness, send traffic to your website, attract new donors and more.

But it's often very tricky to know how to get started.

  • Is your Google ad account brand new?
  • Is your first campaign a test or not?
  • How much should you spend?

New campaigns in a new accounts always cost more than new campaigns in established accounts. Ad platforms need data and if your starting from scratch you wont have ,

Did you know you can now send traffic to your Facebook page directly?

This option was only available for Instagram profiles.

I noticed this feature in some of my clients ad accounts so it might not be available in every ad account.

If you are a charity or nonprofit looking to increase traffic to your Facebook page, you can now run ads that aim to maximize the number of Facebook page visits. Select 'Instagram or Facebook as the conversion location to send traffic to your Instagram profile, Facebook page or both.

A great way to allow donors to discover your organic posts and any updates. Maybe an increase in new followers?

➡️ Select the 'Traffic' object, create a new 'Traffic' campaign and go to the ad set level to select 'Instagram or Facebook' as the conversion location..
