element14 presents projects and builds released Wednesdays and Fridays, showcasing innovative ideas, and step-by-step guides and inspiring others to create and experiment with electronics. Design Challenges are regular, large-scale competitions that are hosted on the element14 Community. Where members are invited to tackle real-world problems using specific technologies or components. These challenges not only foster innovation but also allow participants to gain recognition and win prizes. These challenges often include electronic equipment and hardware that are fresh and new to the market.
RoadTests and Reviews allows members to test and review new products from leading manufacturers such as NXP Semiconductors , Microchip , Rohde & Schwarz and Analog Devices . Participants receive products to evaluate and share their findings with the community, providing valuable feedback to manufacturers to improve while staying updated with the latest technology. Members are also permitted to keep these products for their valuable insights.
Project14 are bi-monthly project competitions where members can build and share projects based on a given theme, winners will then receive prizes and recognition, encouraging a spirit of creativity and friendly competition. These differ from Design Challenges as they give members the freedom to explore the theme using hardware and equipment that they already own, which may be supplemented by products provided by the element14 Community.

Registering for the element14 Community is easy, aside from allowing you access to the competitions, you will also be able to download support files for various single-board computers, microcontrollers, posters for the Raspberry Pi and micro:bit, and gain support for various Avnet board products in their dedicated support forums.
