DKI Jakarta Becomes the First Province in Clinics Integration Trial with SATUSEHAT

Jakarta, November 26, 2022 - Ministry of Health (MoH) of the Republic of Indonesia has again provided assistance and trials for integrating SATUSEHAT into several health service facilities (fasyankes) in Java-Bali. DKI Jakarta became the first province to hold a Clinic health facilities integration trial with SATUSEHAT, which took place on November 22-23, 2022.

“Aside from hospitals and public health centers, clinics are also involved in assistance and trials SATUSEHAT integration, particularly in immunization use cases,” said Jeremia Suryanegara, Product Manager Digital Transformation Office (DTO) MoH of the Republic of Indonesia, on Wednesday (23/11).

According to Jeremia, this was motivated by research findings and discussions with the DKI Jakarta Health Office (Dinkes) about the public behavior observed performing child immunization in clinics other than community health centers (Puskesmas) and Hospitals.

SATUSEHAT is a platform that integrates and exchanges information of personal health data through electronic medical records between health facilities to support health data interoperability and standardization.

During the integration trial, participants received assistance in exchanging health data information via the SATUSEHAT platform from visit information to diagnosis.

“In the future, this integration will make it easier for patients to consult or switch services between health facilities. Because their medical records are digitally exchanged, after obtaining the patient's consent, the health facility can carry out all of these activities," Jeremiah explained.

On the other hand, stakeholders can use data sets collected in near real-time and exchanged in the SATUSEHAT platform, with machine learning, as a foundation for strategic policymaking at the national and regional levels.
