What types of international organizations work in public health?

WHO has had a great impact in providing guidance, especially during outbreaks and during medical emergencies. WHO should empower small community organizations especially those that are community-based so that they can be able to receive information on medical issues accurately and faster to ensure the interventions are done accurately and timely.This can be done by partnering, training and equipping the community based organisations.

Tambien agencias gubernamentales de ayuda extranjera (como USAID) trabajan en conjunto con organismos gubernamentales para mejorar el desarrollo de sus paises

Most of the NGOs are providing essential services to the communities around the world. For example, MSF has helped in providing emergency care services to patients in slum areas in Kenya such as Mathare. Though the community appreciates their efforts, there is always a demand to provide a permanent solution either by governments or through community efforts. NGOs should advocate for permanent solutions once the approach they have provided proves to be useful and beneficial to the community. This can be done through strong advocating for better solution by approaching the government and stakeholders and educating the community on better ways to approach a solution.

GAVI was very instrumental during the COVID-19 vaccination period. They ensured the vaccine was affordable and available to countries that didn't have the capacity to manufacture the vaccine. Global Fund has helped in providing ARVs to infected patients hence reducing the health expenditure on the patients. Now we have Cancer. It is the most expensive disease to treat currently. The cost of diagnosis is too high and the charges for medication are too expensive. We currently need Global Fund and GAVI that will unite to provide a solution to the current problem we have with cancer.

Networks are important to the public health sphere. They provide the opportunity to share, learn, and relearn. However most of the networks are not accessible to the people, they are constricted within regions and lack global representation hence limiting other opportunities that are available. Creating global Networks and Alliances with representation in more than two thirds of the world can help fight for better meant of the current health infrastructures, this including cost of medicine, nutrition, medical devices availability and environmentalprotection for better health.
