Do I Know You? A Compelling Exploration of Face Blindness

Hello Everyone! Welcome to our very first edition of the Dragon Tree Newsletter, our newest way to keep you informed, connected, and engaged. It's an exciting time to be a communicator, and our mission is to help you keep pace with the changes rapidly transforming our industry.

For our inaugural podcast episode, we talked to Washington Post writer and author Sadie Dingfelder about her brand new book, Do I Know You? Sadie's funny and poignant first-hand account shows us what the world looks like for someone who has tackled face blindness since childhood, a condition neuroscientists call prosopagnosia.

In the episode, Sadie also delves into having aphantasia, an inability to conjure up mental imagery on cue to create cognitive connections. Her witty, memorable book teaches us how having an understanding of different types of neurodiversity can make us all more informed and empathic communicators.

Do I Know You? comes out today in bookstores and online. It's a fantastic read that should easily find its way to the top of your summer reading list. And if you happen to be in New York City, Sadie will be reading an excerpt later this evening at Lofty Pigeon Books. You can also catch her on Thursday, June 27th (yes, before the presidential debate) at Busboys and Poets in Washington DC. Just don't ask her to memorize anyone's face in the crowd...

We hope you can tune in again soon for our next podcast episode. In the meantime, share your thoughts and stay in touch with us as we venture ahead. The staff at Dragon Tree Communications wishes you a week with zero obstacles and crystal clear transmissions.
