Do Not Start Your Job Hunt without this!

Do Not Start Your Job Hunt without this!

Job search platforms are robust and plentiful in the modern-day era🫣. I come from a time when there were no electronic internet-based job boards. And let's be clear the era I am from is one in which you had to put in a paper application, there was no Easy Apply or online application. But I digressed, while it is easy to apply, there are so many options and there are so many advantages and nuances for each. To make it a little easier, here are the deets from my perspective with some stats and consumer reviews to help you choose the best job board for your job hunt.

Whether you’re looking to leverage LinkedIn’s networking capabilities or explore remote opportunities on FlexJobs, we’ve got the insights you need. Here are some of the key highlights from my podcast where I did a review of some of the job boards out there.

Key Highlights

  • I started with LinkedIn, the networking powerhouse, and discussed why it's essential for job seekers. With 87% of recruiters using LinkedIn to research candidates, it’s a must-have tool in your job search arsenal.
  • Next, I covered Indeed, which has outpaced Monster in brand recognition and user base. With 10 new jobs posted every second and over 300 million users, Indeed is the largest job site in the world. We also explore Glassdoor, the Yelp of corporate America, providing invaluable insights into potential employers.
  • Monster, despite being one of the earliest players in the job search market, still holds a significant global presence. I discussed its pros and cons and how it compares to newer platforms.
  • ZipRecruiter’s AI-powered job matching system is another highlight, offering personalized job recommendations based on your preferences and skills.
  • For those seeking remote work, FlexJobs is the go-to site. With over 20,000 vetted remote job listings, it stands out in a market often plagued by scams and spam. Listen to full episode
