Do you know Ductile iron pipe? Annealing Oven

Pipe Shop – Under the watchful eye of Ryan Rinkes, the annealing oven rapidly heats and holds cast iron pipe at over 1900 °F to breakdown carbides created during the quick solidification of the iron in casting. After carbides are eliminated, pipe are carefully monitored to maintain the correct cooling curve to maximize ferritization time. By the end of the journey, the Ductile iron pipe meets or exceeds 60,000 psi in tensile strength, 42,000 psi in yield strength, and 10% elongation.
