Don't take for granted...

Don't take for granted...

It's been a few weeks since my last message because life has been life-ing but I NEED to share this video with you. I'll be back next week to share another message with you.

As an FYI, according to a study conducted by the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, people tend to value and appreciate things that are scarce or that they have to work for. This means that when we have constant access to something, we are less likely to value it and more likely to take it for granted.

"We often take for granted the very things that most deserves our gratitude." — Cynthia Ozick

Here are 5 strategies to help you not take things for granted:

  1. Be present. Savor this moment...because it's all you're guaranteed.
  2. Practice mindfulness. Pay attention and appreciate what you have now.
  3. Slow down. Don't rush through life. Prioritize and do what matters.
  4. Find your bliss. What is it that makes you happy? Do that.
  5. Be in gratitude. Give thanks for what you have.
