Don’t wait. The time will never be just right. Take the Leap.

While going through turbulent times, more and more Leaders are reviewing their lifestyle, values and achievements. Questions addressing deeper meaning, balance, satisfaction, fulfillment and rearrangements in life and business come front and center.

It is typical for us, Humans, to tend to wait. To stay "comfortable" even when it is not so comfortable. To postpone. To hope for a better moment in life - someday in the future - to take the Leap, to change what doesn't feel good anymore, to make our dreams come true. Or maybe even hoping to remember how to dream, while trying to keep up the pace in the wheel.

Yes, there are certain moments in life when we should back off, slow down, maybe even take a break. It is very important to develop self-awareness, to learn more about your own limits, to understand the options and mitigate risks, to be kind and loving to yourself.

At the same time, quite often “This is the wrong moment to take the Leap, to move forward, to speed up” is used as an excuse. Life is not endless. Time is a very limited resource, one of those critical ones to have as a main KPI in life. There will never be a perfect moment to take certain risks, to challenge yourself and jump into the unknown. You have to decide, to start moving forward.

On top of that, sometimes the Universe is pushing us toward our purpose in a way that might be experienced as a disruption - painful and stressful change, causing a lot of fear and anxiety, blocking our ability to see all the opening doors and opportunities. However, oftentimes it is a needed event, at the right moment, helping us to grow and expand our understanding of who we are and what we are capable of achieving. To appreciate that, it is important to see the greater perspective.

Not so long ago I had a fantastic conversation with one seasoned Leader. I’ve heard an interesting opinion which - to be honest - I had in my mind myself sometimes in my past, when facing adversity. “Sometimes it feels like it would be so much easier to put some important things in place or change the rules of the game if somebody else would decide that for you or if the circumstances would force you to take the scary step forward.” 

But is it really so? I don’t think so. Isn’t Here and Now the best moment to find courage, take responsibility for our brighter future? To define for ourselves when is the right timing - the convenient moment to take the next big step, to introduce changes or at least to develop a plan for the desired development to come closer to the dream state in life and business.

Even small steps in the right direction are leading to incredible shifts! There are no guarantees for the most amazing things we can experience. It’s all about learning to listen to our inner voice and trust our potential. It is about our ability to be resilient, navigate the uncertainty and do our best to reach our goals and dreams.
