The Elizabeth Tower project scooped a couple of awards in the last few days, picking up Project of the Year at the Digital Construction Awards, and named as Highly Commended for Project of the Year (Over £10m) at the Constructing Excellence SECBE Awards. Congratulations to the whole team!
Director of Project Delivery Christine Evans said:
“It’s been fantastic to see the recognition the team and our partners have received after their years of work on this once-in-a-lifetime project. The awards reflect how the project combined ground-breaking technology with heritage trades to bring back the original design of this iconic building for everyone, now and for future generations. We're waiting to hear about a few other awards, so hopefully there's more to come.”
Visitors were welcomed back inside the Elizabeth Tower this month. Highlights of the tour include the spiral staircase, the clock mechanism room, a look behind the clock dials, and a visit to the belfry. For more information about tours and how to book visit the Big Ben Tours website.
